My eyes were wide in shock as I tried to process what he had just asked me. I thought he didn’t want it. He never said anything about having a honeymoon after the wedding; the only thing he did was head to work immediately.

I tried to think of the possibility that I hadn’t heard him right, but I knew I had. What had gotten into him?

“Mom suggested we go to a party with her. I was wondering if we could take it as a honeymoon,” he said, averting his eyes and ruffling his hair. “What do you say?”

Honestly, I wouldn't have thought about going on a honeymoon if he hadn’t suggested it, and since he was going to head to the party with me, there was no use rejecting the offer.

“Okay,” I replied. “When are we leaving?”

“Noon.”

“Noon?” My brows rose. “Today?”

He nodded. “Yeah.”

“What time is it?”

“8.”

“Eight? You gotta be kidding me.”
