Glancing at my mom, I waited for her to explain what Belle had just said. Did she lie to me about Ducky wanting a honeymoon?

“Did you say that Ducky refused to go because I was not going?” I questioned when Mom went on without explaining.

Mom’s eyes darted to Belle and she nodded her head. I could already tell what they were talking about—it was more like they wouldn’t say a word to me no matter how I asked.

So, I leaned back against the seat. “Fine, I won’t ask about it anymore.”

“Good,” Mom said with a grin on her face. “We will be there in a few hours. You should have some rest; Elodie is asleep already.”

I glanced at Ducky. Mom was right, she was asleep, and her head was in place. She did everything and even slept properly on the plane seat.

Her hair was over her face, and she looked calm and collected. Pulling my gaze from her, I turned back to my mom.

“Yes, I do think I need some rest.”
