“Can you tell me why you did it?” Tedros’ voice reached me, making me stiffen at the calmness in his tone, despite knowing that my forehead had been slit.

It wasn’t like I had done it myself—I hadn’t slit my forehead. There was no reason for me to do that, and I would never intentionally harm myself.

How could I explain that to him? I couldn’t tell him that I had seen his look-alike again after he left. I usually saw him once a day, but now it was twice: once at Lucas’ home and once in the room.

“Tedros?” I called out, stepping out of the bathroom.

Tedros wasn’t in the room, and my clothes were laid out on the bed. I approached the bed, did my skincare, and got dressed. I had just finished my makeup when I felt someone behind me.

When I spun around, I found Tedros standing there. Unlike the expression he had on his face before I left, this one was the opposite.
