Where the hell are they?!

I pace back and forth, waiting for my contact to arrive. I’m running out of patience as I wait for this fool to bring me what I need to change my life and hopefully get me the man I’ve been after.

My plan must go smoothly, otherwise, I can count the lifestyle and power that I want goodbye. Why in the hell did he have to find his mate? I was supposed to be his mate. I would have convinced him to choose me.

Eventually.

Who am I kidding? That man does what he wants. All Alphas do. He’s the Alpha King, so you definitely can’t tell him to do a damn thing. I love that about him. The power he possesses. The way he doesn’t bend to other's will. 

I need to possess that, too.

That’s why I need this girl to hurry her ass up, otherwise, I’m screwed and I’ll be forced to wait for my mate. If it were up to my father, he would have already sent me away.

I peek out of the window, looking into the dark parking lot of the roach-infested room I rented two towns over in the human town for our meeting spot.

After what seems like an eternity, there’s a soft knock on the door. I open the door as the hooded woman enters wearing a ridiculous looking little red riding hood cloak.

“Do you have it?” I ask as they step into the shabby hotel room I arranged for us to meet in. 

“Girl, couldn’t you have picked a better place for us to meet? This place is below a 1-star rating.”

“I picked it because no one knows us here and it’s discreet,” I responded to her through my teeth. I’m lying because this place is nothing but discrete but she doesn’t have to know this. Why does she have to make this exchange difficult? 

“Well, let’s get this over with so we can get the hell out of here. Why you picked a roach motel is beyond me”.

“Look, you bougie witch, just give me what I need and you can go. I don’t have time for your complaints,” I huff out.

“Okay, here you go. Before you take this you first, you need to know how to use it properly,” she replies while handing me the vial.

“You have enough for one use and one use only. You must dissolve it quickly by giving it in a warm liquid.. The potion won’t last long, so you don’t have all night. You may have an hour tops. Get what you need from him and get out of there.” She explains, and she hands me another vial that has blue liquid in it.

“Here’s another vial. This one is to mask your scent. As long as you are wearing something of hers on he’ll think you are her and the potion in the liquid will allow you to do your thing. Once you get what you want, get the hell outta there because it will wear off and since he’s the Alpha King, drugs burn off more quickly than regular wolves.”

“Got it, anything else I need to know?”, I ask, hiding the vials in my messenger bag. 

“No, just follow my directions and you should be fine. We’re even though. Don’t call me, text me, or show up where I live. In fact, lose my number. If your ass gets caught, you and I don’t know each other. You mention my name. I’m singing like a canary and snitching your entire plan. Understand?”, she warns me.

“Yeah, little girl, I understand. Just make sure the next time you go and fuck a guy that it’s in a more private place and that they don’t have a girlfriend, okay?” I tell her with a smirk on my face.

“Whatever”, she says as she puts the ridiculous hood over her face. “Let’s hope we never see each other again”, she replies as she rushes out of the room and gets into a dark sedan.

Going over the next steps in my plan, I exit the roach motel and walk the half mile to my car. What, did you think I’d park my car here? Yeah right. I’m not trying to get my car jacked. 

Getting the potions from that witch was the easiest part of my plan.

I had to blackmail her to get these potions, but I’ll do anything to win.  

Blackmail, cheating, and maybe kidnapping. Whatever it takes to get the life I deserve.

I need to win the heart of the Alpha King. I’ll win or trick his heart by any means necessary.
