“Where is Jinx, for fuck’ sake!” he couldn't help but scream in desperation. Presently, he's wandering aimlessly in the club, hoping to spot Jinx at the cellar or anywhere.
It's been half an hour since he disclosed the club's location, yet he can't find Jinx. Leonard, exhausted, went over to the cellar and settled on the high stool. He brought out his cell phone and, once more, dialed Jinx's number, only for the call to go straight into voicemail.
“Oh fuck this” he mumbled angrily. The bartender narrowed his eyebrows at the cussing young man. “Something bothering you, pretty boy? A bottle of tequila might help” he said suggestively.
Leonard sighed, then placed his cellphone on the table. “Nah. I ain't in the mood, I'm too worried about my friend. I told the fucker to get his ass down here, but I can't find him. Tch! That's the problem with introverts” he added with a light scoff.
“A friend? And he's an introvert?” The bartender paused, recollecting the dazed young man he served earlier. Leo glanced at him only to find him in thoughts.
“Have you seen someone who acted odd this evening?” he asked, hoping to receive a positive response. “Well yeah. His hair was rather darker than everyone else's, and he acted improper” came a sincere response from the bartender.
“That must be Jinx!” Leonard beamed, standing up. “Say, where is he? Has he left?”
“I guess so. He went to the VIP section, and he's yet to return”
Leonard's eyes couldn't help but double in fear once the bartender finished his utterance—assuming Jinx went to the VIP section and Jessica's there, won't it be disastrous?
Quickly, he grabbed his phone then rushed over there, expecting to find Jinx among the onlookers. Then again, he spotted Jessica getting f*cked real brutally.
The mere sight of her shameless act got his stomach rumbling in disgust; this, among many more, are part of his reasons for disliking her. He has tried countlessly to get Jinx to break up with her, but he seemed smitten by the whore.
“I have a feeling he's seen her,” Leo muttered bitterly. He turned and left the club hurriedly. There, at the entrance, he stood and kept calling Jinx, but never succeeded in having a conversation with him.
Worried as hell, he shoved his phone back into his pocket. As he stood there motionlessly, Gigi came scurrying in his direction. “Hi Leo! You're lonely, want some company?” she asked with a tone of seduction. She lifted her hand to caress his chest, but he was quick to grab her wrist.
She winced lightly. “Hey! Let me go!” she whined, trying to free herself from his grip. He tightened his grip on her wrist before leaning closer, then smirked dangerously.
“You're that hag's friend, right? Tell Jessica, never, and I repeat never, to show her degrading self in front of Jinx again. Okay?” he growled intimidatingly. Once he released his grip, she fled frighteningly.
He considered calling Jinx's number again, but canceled the idea. “I'll simply meet him tomorrow”

“Yo, open up! Jinx! Armstrong!” The continuous banging of the door got him dragging his feet to answer it. Even though he badly wants to avoid having contact with anyone currently, leaving Leo unattended is unwise.
Finally, he pulled the doorknob backwards and revealed Leo's anxious face. “Dude?” he exclaimed, extremely surprised to see Jinx already dressed up.
He's aware how strong his friend tends to act, but dressing so charmingly after seeing your girlfriend cheating on you? Isn't that a bit too calm or… weird?
While Jinx went back inside, Leo entered, then shut the door behind him.
“Are you going… somewhere?” he inquired, unable to contain his curiosity any much longer. Jinx knotted the silk black tie elegantly on his neck as he replied.
“Isn't it obvious? Unfortunately, I'm going on a date with…. Marie” he uttered the last part with great difficulty. “What!” Leonard shouted disbelievingly.
He marched closer to Jinx. “Tell me you're fucking with me. You're going on a date with that…. Creepy girl?”
“Look,” Jinx sighed, facing Leonard. “I've got no choice, okay? Last night… After I saw Jessica performing shit at the club, she aided me in my sorry state. I feel indebted to her”.
“And going on a fucking date is the best way? What happened to buying her a flower or chocolate or some other shit? Jinx, that girl gives me the psychotic vibes. Y'know right?” Leonard opposed greatly, highly reluctant to allow his friend to leave.
Despite how much Leonard dissented, Jinx went ahead on the date with Marie. “Going out with her will get my mind off that cheating backstabber. Chill dude” Jinx flashed a smile before exiting the room, leaving Leo perplexed. “I pray everything goes well… I just don't…trust that Marie” Leonard hushed with his eyes watching Jinx through the window.
Marie surprisingly brought a car and they both got in, then left for the date.

Unexpectedly, his date with Marie wasn't half bad. She insisted they visit a museum, which Jinx highly found comforting.
Thereafter, they had lunch at a fast food establishment, went to watch a historical movie and then had dinner at a classy restaurant—Jinx loved every single thing about the day. Never did he expect Marie to be so..... thrilling.
“Y'know something, Vermilion, you're delightful” Jinx commented with his hands steering the wheel of the car. She chuckled softly before glancing at the starry night. “Really? I'm glad you think so, and you had fun” Her smile expanded as she diverted her attention back to him.
Slowly and unknowingly to Jinx, her eyes scanned his body—her mouth salivated excessively; she wants to devour his flesh so badly. Wordlessly, she leaned closer with her arms snaking to his direction.
“What's…” his voice trailed as his lips were claimed by hers. As much as he wanted to kiss her back, he's driving for hell's sake—he can't afford to crash her car. So, he broke the kiss yet she maintained her gaze into his eyes. “Can this wait?” his minty breath fanned against her face, and she bit her lips.
“I doubt it. You taste so…” While she spoke, her right hand traveled up against his thigh, and settled on his lower abdomen. Steadily, her fingernails lengthened until they began claws.
“So what?” Jinx tilted his head, expecting another kiss, instead felt an unimaginable sharp thing shoved into his left kidney. His eyes popped out uncontrollably, and soon blood flooded out of his lips.
“Marie…?” he called slowly, staring at her smile wickedly. “Yes, Mr. Armstrong?” her hand kept digging into his flesh until she grasped his left kidney.
Effortlessly, she ripped it apart, while playing unmindful of the blood spewing from Jinx's mouth.
He coughed out blood before gazing slowly at the bloody patch on his abdomen, then diverted his gaze to Marie. “What?” She giggled maliciously.
“Aren't you aware that I'm the serial killer—a she-wolf to be precise” she hushed, taking a long lick of his kidney.
Never, for once, had he imagined something as gruesome as this would happen to him. His eyes trembled in their sockets while gaping at Marie fearfully. Jinx at that moment was overwhelmed with fear and his body shivered violently like a drenched cat. Marie, on the other hand, didn't seem concerned about his fearful gaze—after all, he is going to die tonight in a short while. “Delicious!” she gushed satisfactorily as she took a bite from the fleshy, hot and bloody organ. “You're… the serial killer?” Jinx asked faintly with blood accompanying his every word. He winced silently in pain; his body feels too feeble to cry for help—his eyes are getting drowsy, and he's aware he'll pass out any moment for now. Then again, Jinx didn't want to die; he can't die here, not in this way. Marie, done devouring his kidney, ran her slimy tongue all over her stained lips. “Yeah. Surprised, Mr. Armstrong?” she smiled widely but lethally. “You don't have to answer that, you're going to die soon anyway
Flickering his eyes weakly yet repeatedly, he finally snapped them open. At first, a sudden pang of tiredness invaded his system, but soon wore off rather quickly. The only sounds he could decipher were the beeping monitor and the slowly dropping pellets of the blood bag which is attached to his wrist via the use of a tube. Moments passed with Jinx ogling blankly at the ceiling, with literally no thoughts going through his head. He has absolutely no recollection of whatever occurred recently or why he's even laying on the hospital bed. Gently yet slowly, he arose from the bed without feeling even the slightest of pain. While he sat upright with his eyes lazily roaming around the room, the door got pushed open, and Lionel stepped in. He couldn't stop himself from smiling broadly, seeing Jinx conscious. “Mr. Armstrong. I'm so glad that you're awake!” Lionel beamed, as he advanced. Sluggishly, Jinx gazed at him—he furrowed his eyebrows silently yet doubtfully, since he's never seen th
Minutes passed by, yet Jinx was unable to move—he remained totally speechless, and entirely motionlessly with his jaw dropped. In that position, Leonard walked in, carrying a tray which contained their meals. He met Jinx, looking as pale as a ghost. “Dude, are you okay?” Leonard questioned while placing the tray on the center table. Then again, it seemed like Jinx was oblivious of his presence. Leo proceeded to tap his shoulder multiple times, which did the trick. “Y…yeah?” Jinx stuttered unintentionally as he batted his eyelashes at Leo. “You sure you're okay, dude? You seem somewhat pale. Is it hurting anywhere? Should we go back to the hospital?” he rasped worriedly all at once. It is evident that Leo is distressed—if Jinx is left unattended, he surely won't bother to go to a hospital. For some reason, Jinx despises the hospital with a great passion. He arose slowly from the couch and attempted to walk away, but got held back on the wrist by Leo. “What!” Jinx furrowed his eye
Flipping to the next page of his book, he smiled happily due to the immense joy he deprived in reading a good book. If there's anything he loves more than tranquility and his girlfriend Jessica, then it's reading a book. Without diverting his gaze from the pages, he sipped lightly from the cup of espresso that's in his possession. Jinx, engrossed in reading while sipping coffee, had grown oblivious of his surroundings—including his best friend, Leonard, who's seated across from him. “Dude!” Leo had grown angry since he's been ignored by Jinx for far too long. Swiftly, he snatched the book from Jinx's grip, and that brought him back to life. “Leo?” Jinx growled, seemingly pissed off. “Don't give me that look, you bastard. I've been talking to you for almost an hour, yet you didn't reply. If you want to read, do it at home, not in a goddamn café!” he snapped afterward. Exchanging words with Leonard is simply fruitless, so Jinx sighed softly as he leaned backwards on the chair. “And
He dialed her number again for the eleventh time, only for the call to go into voicemail. To simply say, Jinx's getting frustrated. He tossed the phone carelessly on the bed as he stood up. “What the hell is wrong with Jessica?” he grunted with his fingers dipped into his hair—it's been a week since he last saw his girlfriend. As absurd as it may sound, she's yet to call him. Despite how much research he's made about her whereabouts, Jessica can't be found. While he contemplated hard about his girlfriend, the blaring ringing of his cellphone got his attention. With high hopes that it'll be a call from his beloved, he reached for it speedily. Jinx's ray of hope dissipated the instant he stared at Leo's caller ID. He gritted lowly. “What the fuck do you want?” he snapped irritatingly. At the other end, Leo's scoff of dissatisfaction was heard. “I had an idea you'll act like a total d×ck head because of Jessica, but still have some respect for my dumbass!”“What do you want, Leonardo
