*First Person's Perspective*

~Enise~

“I knew it" The door swung open and Marcus came in, pointing accusing fingers at me

I was startled and jolted backwards. I rubbed my hand on my face and the next time I opened my eyes, he wasn't there anymore

Actually, he was never there, my eyes were just playing tricks on me. I breathed out in relief and went to bed, the next day,

Everyone was out of the house, which left just me and the workers

I decided to go for a walk. Take a stroll and breath some fresh air

As I walked down the street, people pointed fingers at me. I could hear their little whispers

I paid no mind to it and just kept walking. I passed by my parents house, the place where I grew up. I stood accross the street and just stared at them. My mother and father were sitting outside and having a discussion

I smiled bitterly and turned away. I couldn't be caught watching them, as far as I and this pack was concerned, I didn't know them

I continued to walk down the street, everything felt nostalgic. What would have happened if Lucas didn't betray me like he did? We would have been living blissfully right? Or maybe we would have had different issues?

I sucked in a deep breath and chose not to think about that. It would only cause me more and more pain if I continue to think about it

A car sped past me and pulled to a stop at a distance

I turned to look at the car. What a crazy driver that is

As I walked, I heard honking sound. Was it me?

I turned around and the car pulled to a stop. Before I knew what was happening, someone had pulled me into a tight embrace

I stood frozen and in shock

“Oh my goodness! Enise! Enise" she called out as she held my shoulder, staring at me from my head to my toes over and over again

“Oh my goodness! Enise. I never thought that I would see you again, my dear friend. What happened? Where have you been? Why didn't you call or text me? I thought you had died in that fire. Oh my goodness!" She asked so many questions, not even giving me the chance to speak or say anything. She pulled me into and embrace again

Tears gathered in her eyes as she stared at me

I just stood rooted to the ground, ramrod straight and my expression... Confused. I had to pull the act

There was no exception

“Why aren't you saying anything, Enise? Why do you look like you don't know me? Aren't you excited to see me too?" She asked still smiling widely

I struggled. I had trained myself for this. I knew what coming here entailed, so I trained myself to be able to hold it in. The tears, I couldn't let it fall, I couldn't show any emotions. I was not supposed to know who this woman was

“I'm so sorry, Miss, but I am not this Enise you talk about. I am Denise" I said

It made my heart sink the way the smile faded from her face

“I'm really sorry I got your hopes up, but I don't know who Enise is, and I am not her" I continued. She stared at me for good two minutes before she bursted out laughing

“Okay, okay, you got me. You got me. Now stop with the act. I know it's you" I stared at her with a blank expression and then shook my head

“I'm really sorry miss" I said and made to leave but she blocked my way. “Enise, it's me, Anna. I'm your best friend. Remember? How can you forget me?" She asked, letting the tear drop

“I have been told severally that I look like her. Like the exact look alike, but I promise you, I'm not. I take it that you two were really close and you must have been very happy to see me thinking I was her because I got the face. I'm sorry to break and shatter your heart for the second time. I'm not her" I answered and then it dawned on her that I truly wasn't Enise

“Who are you then? What are you doing in this pack?" She questioned.

“I am A doctor. I was brought here by the Alpha to help treat his daughter" I said

“You mean your daughter?" She asked

“No miss, I do not have a daughter" I answered

“Um.. if you'd excuse me. I'm sorry I put your hopes. I really am. Good bye" I said and walked away. The tear drop. I had been trying to hold it in but I couldn't

“Enise!" She whispered behind me as I walked away. I wanted to hug her so badly. I wanted to tell her everything, but I couldn't do that. No one could know of my plane, not this early, not when I haven't even set it in motion yet

I walked far away. People still stared and pointed fingers anywhere I went, but I paid no mind to them and just kept going

I got tired of walking and so I decided to take a taxi back to the Alpha's house

As I approached the building, I saw a large number of people standing by the door. All peeking and trying to see what was happening

I turned around to the back and got in

“What's happening? Why are there so many people outside?" I asked one of the guards

“It's the Alpha ma'am. He had been shot with silver" The guard said and walked away. He looked like he was in a hurry

Silver? Why was he shot?

I rushed to his bedroom and found him all bloodied

There were doctors in there, all trying to help and revive him. He was laying in a pool of his own blood. The sheets were soaked, the ground was filled with blood. It was really severe

I rushed up to him but some guards blocked the way

“We can't let you in there ma'am.. Only the doctors are allowed" He said. I gave him a knowing look

“What!" I exclaimed in a whisper. “I am a doctor, genius, why do you think I'm here?" I asked and brushed past him before he could even react

“No, no. You're doing it wrong. Give me that" I said and collected the surgery knife

They were all stunned . Some of them didn't know who I was, I take it that they're new and the rest who knew who I was, just stared in amusement

I took out the bullet as fast as I could and applied some ointments

My cell phone rang. I picked it up and the caller ID, read 'Lucian'

“Umm... You take over from here. I have to go" I said as I rushed out of the bedroom. They all stared at me like I was some crazy lady but that was the least of my worries

“Are you going to stand there and stare at me or will you tend to the injury of your Alpha?" I barked and they all went to work immediately

I rolled my eyes and walked out

I met Marcus on the way

“Where are you off to? You should be in there, taking care of the Alpha. Aren't you a doctor?" He asked rudely. I had planned to ignore and walk past him, but I decided to respond

“Not every doctor is a surgeon, genius" I said to him in a sarcastic manner

“Well. You should have an idea" he retorted and I scoffed

“Well I don't. Go cry about it" I responded and walked away. I knew he would have gone after me, but he couldn't. He couldn't leave Lucas

I preseed the green button and raised the cell phone to my ear

“Hello Lucian" I said..

“Goodness! Finally. I thought you were never going to pick up" He complained and I chuckled

“Sorry, I just had to tend to something. Where are you now?" I asked.

“I just checked in at a hotel outside the pack. You should meet me there" he said

“Outside the pack? What if someone sees me there? They're going to tell Lucas about it" I said and he scoffed

“No one's going to see you. Clarissa made sure of that" he assured and I nodded

“Fine then, I'm on my way" I said and the line got disconnected

I hailed a cab and he took me there

He had his arm outstretched for a hug and I didn't hesitate to take it

“I've missed you" he said, his lips crashing on mine

“I've missed you too" I answered in between kisses

Lucian and I weren't dating. I mean, I no longer believed in love neither did he, but there was this chemistry between us

It was an unsaid thing between us. And I hoped it remained unsaid. But that didn't mean we wouldn't have fun right? I mean, sometimes you just have to satisfy your urges. So that's what he was to me. My partner in crime... Literally, LOL

And also my sex partner

“So what happened? What were you so busy taking care of that you couldn't take my call?" He asked, stroking back a careless strand of my hair

“It's Lucas. He got shot and I had to help take the bullet out of him” I said and he huffed

" Why didn't you just let him die? “ He asked and I laughed

"If I let him die, how would he then pay for his crimes? Wouldn't that be the easy way out?“ I asked and he nodded

" True” he grabbed my lips again. His hand roaming everywhere around my body

“So, how was your journey?. Have you gotten everything prepared and ready?“ I asked, breaking away from the kiss

" You really want to talk about that, now?“ He groaned and I laughed

" Come on. When else do you want to talk about it, if not now?“ I asked

"Later, right now, I want you” he drew me closer again

" You do know that Lucas or Marcus is going to smell you all over me right?“ I asked

" We're going to hide it” he tried to persuade but I wasn't ready for that at the moment

" Lucian. Not now, let's talk first” I said and pulled myself away from him

“Fine" even though he wasn't happy about it, he just had to agree
