*First Person's Perspective*

~Enise~

Weeks had passed since I moved into Lucas’s mansion, and with each day, I found myself settling in more. At first, it felt like a temporary arrangement, like something I had to do to keep up the charade. But now, it was different. Living here, spending time with Miracle, and being in a place where everything seemed calm—it almost felt normal. Peaceful, even.

I’d grown to care for Miracle in a way I hadn’t expected. Don't get me wrong, I knew I loved her so much, I mean it only made sense right? She was my daughter. But the bond grew and it was very intense. Almost like I couldn't do without seeing her for a day. She was such a sweet girl, and the bond I had with her was undeniable. We spent hours together, playing games, reading books, and just talking. I knew I was missing so much time with her while I had been away, but I was here now, and I made sure to savor every moment.

Lucas had become closer to me in the past few weeks. We’d shared more moments together, some more intimate than others, but there was no denying the chemistry between us. It was hard to fight it. I would be lying if I said I didn’t find him attractive. He was my husband in the first place

He wasn’t just physically appealing—there was something deeper. Something dangerous, yes, and I knew I wasn't supposed to be going down this path. This was a revenge path. The plan was to make him fall in Love with me and not the other way around. I couldn't let feelings for him resurface and ruin my perfectly laid out plan

I couldn’t forget why I was here. I couldn’t let myself get too close. Not when everything I was doing was part of a bigger plan. Not when I was so close to achieving the revenge I’d been dreaming of.

It was just after midnight when the ringing of my cell phone pulled me out of a deep sleep. I groggily reached for the phone, seeing Lucian’s name on the screen. A part of me wanted to ignore it, but I knew I couldn’t. I had to stay focused.

“Hello?” I answered, my voice thick with sleep.

“Enise, it’s time,” Lucian’s voice was smooth, but there was a certain urgency in it. “I just got a house, and you can pack your bags. Come stay with me.”

I blinked, still half asleep. His words didn’t fully register at first. “A house?” I repeated, trying to make sense of it.

“Yeah, a new place. It’s ready. I want you here with me.”

I hesitated, the weight of his request sitting heavily in my chest. It had only been a few weeks since I’d arrived at Lucas’s mansion, and while the plan was always to get close to Lucas and his family, I wasn’t ready to leave just yet. “I... I’m comfortable here, Lucian,” I said carefully. “I’m getting to spend more time with Miracle, and I don’t want to disrupt that. She’s been through so much, and this place... it’s starting to feel like home.”

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line, and when Lucian spoke again, his displeasure was clear. “I understand, but don’t forget why we’re doing this. Don’t let your feelings get in the way.”

“I’m not letting my feelings get in the way,” I replied quickly, trying to reassure him. “I just think it would be easier to carry out our plan if I stay here a little longer. Lucas is trusting me more, and we’re building something. It could be useful for the next phase.”

There was a sigh from Lucian’s side. “Fine,” he said, his tone now softer but still firm. “But remember what’s at stake. We do this my way. No excuses.”

“I know,” I said, trying to sound confident, though part of me wasn’t sure anymore. Still, I couldn’t back out now. I had made it this far.

Lucian moved on quickly, focusing on what he wanted to tell me. “Today is the day we start the big plan, Enise. You’re going to meet up with Lucas tomorrow morning, right?”

I sat up straighter in bed, feeling a surge of excitement. This was it. The plan I had been waiting for. “Yes, I’m going to meet him. What should I say to him? Do we have an Investment ready yet?”

Lucian explained quickly, outlining the details. “Tell him about the new company I found. It’s a startup, but it has massive potential. If he invests, we can manipulate things in our favor. Push him to buy fifty percent of the company's shares. It’ll look good for him, and it’ll give us control over everything.”

A smile tugged at the corners of my lips as Lucian spoke. I had been playing my part for so long, but now, I was close to completing step one of the plan. I had built my relationship with Lucas carefully, and this investment opportunity was my way in. Once I had him hooked, there would be no turning back.

“I’ll do it,” I said, my voice colder now. “I’ll convince him. He won’t be able to resist.”

“That’s what I like to hear,” Lucian replied with approval. “You’ve been doing well. Just keep your focus, Enise. Don’t let emotions cloud your judgment.”

“I won’t,” I said, my determination clear. “I’ll handle it.”

The call ended, and I sat in the quiet darkness of the room, my mind racing with possibilities. The plan had been in motion for weeks, but now it was becoming real. The first step would be complete when I convinced Lucas to buy into that company. Once that was done, things would start falling into place.

I didn’t allow myself to think about the consequences. I couldn’t. I had made my choice, and I had to see it through. If things went as planned, Lucas would lose everything. The satisfaction I would feel once he realized that everything he had worked for—his wealth, his power, everything—was slipping through his fingers, would be worth all of this.

But then, as I spent more time with Miracle, a wave of guilt hit me. I had missed so much of her life already. Her first word. Her first step. I had been absent when I should’ve been there. It was hard not to feel the sting of regret when she looked up at me with those big, trusting eyes.

Sometimes, I wondered if I was doing the right thing. Was revenge really worth it? Could I live with the choices I was making? I had come so far, though, and I couldn’t back out now. My desire for justice—for revenge—was too strong.

As I played with Miracle in the living room later that day, I tried to push the doubts away. She needed me, and this house had become a sanctuary for both of us. I couldn’t afford to lose this opportunity.

That evening, I met with Lucas in his office, just like Lucian instructed. I told him about the startup company I’d come across. I explained how the company was just starting to take off, but with the right investment, it could become massive.

He listened attentively, clearly interested. After a long pause, he turned to me, his gaze thoughtful. “Fifty percent, huh?” he murmured. “That’s a lot. But... I’ll consider it. It might be worth looking into.”

I could barely contain my excitement. I had done it. I had him exactly where I wanted him. This was just the beginning.

When Lucas agreed to the investment, I forced a smile. Inside, I was grinning. Step one of my plan was complete. Now we just had to wait. Wait until everything fell apart.

Then, phase two would begin. And this time, there would be no stopping us.

*First Person's Perspective*~Enise~The moment I stepped into my bedroom, I couldn’t contain the excitement that had been building up inside me all day. A loud squeal escaped my lips as I grabbed my phone from the bedside table, eager to call Lucian and tell him the good news. The first phase of our plan had been a success. Lucas had agreed to the investment, and now things were set in motion.I quickly dialed Lucian’s number, my fingers trembling slightly with anticipation. It was hard to suppress the bubbling joy I felt. This was it. We were finally on our way to destroying everything Lucas had built, and I couldn’t help but relish the thought of it.Just as the phone started ringing, I heard a knock on my door. I froze, phone still in hand, my heart suddenly racing. Who could it be? The knock sounded deliberate—quiet, but firm—and I knew it wasn’t one of the staff.I turned the phone’s screen off and tucked it away in my pocket, trying to steady my breathing. It was a quiet place, perfect for meetings like this—secretive, private. No one would suspect anything. I liked it.Lucian and I sat opposite each other in a booth near the back of the shop, the dim light casting soft shadows over the table. Our coffees sat untouched, as we both had more pressing matters on our minds. I leaned in slightly, excitement practically vibrating off me as I began to recount everything that had happened with Lucas.“Lucian, you won’t believe what happened today,” I started, my voice brimming with excitement. I could barely keep the grin off my face. “Lucas came to my room—”I watched as Lucian’s expression remained stoic, but I didn’t let it deter me. “—and kissed me, Lucian! *First Person's Perspective*~Enise~The silence in the air between Lucian and I was suffocating, but before I could collect my thoughts, Anna spoke, her voice barely above a whisper. Her gaze was locked onto us, wide-eyed and full of surprise. "I knew it. I knew it was you. It just had to be. All that facade was just too convenient to believe" She said and there was utter silence. No one spoke for about four minutes before she slid into the booth beside me and wrapped me in a tight embrace, her hands trembling slightly as she pulled me close. I stiffened at first, unsure of how to react to her sudden closeness but her warmth was comforting in a way that I hadn’t expected, or rather, in a way I didn't realize I needed. It brought back old memories and tears gathered in the corners of my eyes. She held me like she’d never let go, and before I could speak, I felt the warmth of tears trickling down her face. We were running around, her laughter filling the air, and I couldn’t help but feel lighter than I had in a long time. For that brief moment, everything felt perfect. The sun was setting, casting a soft golden hue over the garden, and we were just two souls enjoying each other’s company, free of worries. But then, as I spun in circles with Miracle chasing after me, I suddenly felt a prickling sensation at the back of my neck. Eyes on me.I turned around to find Lucas standing by a corner, his posture stiff, arms crossed, just watching us. There was no expression on his face, as usual, so I couldn’t tell what was going on in his mind. His dark gaze was fixed on me, unblinking, as if trying to see right through me. The air between us felt thick, charged with something I couldn’t quite identify.I smiled faintly and waved.

The air in the room was thick with the scent of antiseptic. As I laid in the bed, my body ached from the recent labor, yet my heart was swelling with the purest love for the tiny life I had just brought into the world. I could still hear her soft cries echoing in my ears, a sound that had filled me with a joy I had never known before. My daughter. She was so small, so perfect. I was exhausted, but every thought of her made my heart flutter with happiness.I could not help but smile at how lovely and adorable she looked when I laid my eyes on her.I'm sure Lucas will love her. I mean why wouldn't he? He is the father after all.The sound of the door opening and footsteps approaching pulled me from my thoughts. My heart leaped in my chest, and I struggled to sit up.It must be Lucas. My husband, the Alpha. He hadn’t been there when I was rushed to the hospital in labor, but surely now he would come. Seeing our daughter, I believe he would look at me with love in his eyes, a love I

“Enise?” Anna’s voice was soft, like she was trying not to scare me.Her face was serious, but I saw something else in her eyes.Sympathy? Or was it pity? I didn't like the look on her face but before I could tell her, my vision blurred. When I opened my eyes again, I was laying in bed.I looked around, the memories from earlier crashing into my mind like a wave.I jerked up, wincing in pain but I Ignored it as I tried stepping down from the bed.“ At this rate, I'm afraid you'll be stuck here for months, Enise. Can't you be careful considering you have fresh stitches in your body?" A soft reproaching voice sounded from the door and Anna walked in.“Where is she?” My voice was barely a whisper. Anna sighed. “Enise, you need to focus on your health right now,” she said, avoiding my question. I shook my head weakly, the tears already burning in my eyes. “No, Anna, where is my daughter?” I tried to sit up, but my body was too weak, too shattered. The room spun, and darkness crept in.

I didn't care anymore about whatever twisted reason he had for what he was doing. If he wanted war, then he would get it. I had no intention of backing down now. Not when he hurt one of my own. Maybe I would have let shooting me slide, but this, I can never forgive this. I would make him pay dearly for it My pack had already been put through enough, and I wasn't going to let him use Dr Denise whom he was so interested in for whatever reason, I won't let him use her as an excuse to destroy my pack. The atmosphere felt cold, and the tension in the air seemed to hang around me like a heavy cloud. I was already dreading the conversation that awaited me. I had no idea what Lucian was going to say, but I couldn’t ignore the unease that settled in the pit of my stomach. Something must have gone wrong. From the way he sounded, I knew something must have gone southI was here to meet him, and yet I wasn’t sure what kind of conversation we would have. When the elevator doors opened, I found him waiting for me in his usual spot by the window, his back to me as he stared out at the city skyline.
