Chapter 59 – Surprise

“I’ll have them make one with a wolf on it. You can wear this for now. Actually, you should wear this even after we receive the one with the wolf.” His amendment was an assurance she needed.

She silently gave him her hand and he smiled as he put it on her. As she stared at the ring and while he’s holding her other hand, he paid for their purchases.

“We should go to the restaurant. It’s almost lunch time. We’ll have to wait for them to prepare the food so it’s better to get there early.”

“Okay.” Her stomach churned, but not from hunger. There’s this seemingly fluttering movement inside her. She was excited and happy and nervous all at once.

She liked the feel of his hand on hers and how he kept her close as they walked. Yes, she felt safe with him. Even with all these people around, their presence hardly registered to her.
