Chapter 60 – Fireworks
“There will be a fireworks show in a few minutes. It’s going to be loud. Actually, I think we should sit together.” He got up and moved his chair close to hers. Well, that went smoothly. The perfect excuse!
“Fireworks? Fire?”
“Not that kind of fire. You’ll see. It’s quite beautiful. Not as beautiful as you, of course.”
Her lip twitched at the sudden compliment. He’s getting weird. He smiled at her reaction before wrapping an arm around her shoulder.
“This is better.”
They sat there as they waited and Luna remembered to return his phone and wallet.
“Why did you leave your phone with me? I already have one. We could’ve used it to communicate.”
“Hmm. I only left to get you a jacket. I didn’t take long, did I?”
“Well, no. Still, something might have happened.”
