Seeing how everyone has worked hard to overcome the enemies, Layla truly felt useless. She’s not a fighter. She’s not even inclined to train. She’s terribly clumsy. Just like her father, she’s more of a thinker than a warrior. She has a good memory and she likes to read and analyzing things. It’s one of the things which made her believe the city is where she belonged. She helped out where she can, tending to the needs of their many guests. When Luna began healing those which have been injected by the unknown substance, Layla went to assist her. She knew her dad would appreciate certain information and some blood samples, so she took them when she can. Alpha Clyde gave her permission to do so and a little laboratory was set up for her. It’s only for storage and observation as it’s not equipped with the right machines. She already told her dad to come and help out. Alex’s expression darkened when he was informed that his mate has fainted. She worked beyond her limits, resulting to a l
Brix spearheaded the celebration. They don’t have resident elders yet. To be honest, none of them think they need one. Luna was enough and she knew more than any other werewolf. The crowns were displayed on the platform and each guest couldn’t help but check them out. It’s a sight to see. The couple went around to greet people. They made time to chat with the people they’re really close with. Before anyone could complain about hunger, a ceremony was performed to officially recognize them as Alpha King and Luna Queen. “Didn’t think I would see the day we’ll have royals again.” Someone whispered. “Didn’t think I would see this palace restored to its former glory and actually set foot in here.” Another responded. Everyone observed the ceremony with admiration and respect for the couple. They have proven themselves. They are powerful, having abilities unique to them and empathetic towards their kind. They cared and they were humble. No one believed their reign would be detrimental to
Layla went to the celebration, along with Tyler and his parents. They dared to leave the territory in the hands of their trusted men. At this point, they were quite certain that the Lycans have been eliminated. Or so they thought. The last Lycan was introduced to everyone by the Luna Queen herself. It seemed symbolic, if she was called a peace offering. But why a peace offering? The Lycans didn’t offer them peace. They were quite determined to ruin the werewolves. Who exactly offered the peace? That’s what she couldn’t figure out. “Who knows? Maybe it’s one of Luna’s mysteries. She definitely knew something. Let’s just wait and see.” Tyler replied to her when she voiced out her thoughts. She showed him a tentative smile, which also carried her confusion. She looked adorable in her dress, prompting him to bop her nose. It’s the most he could do when they’re surrounded by many people. He licked his lip, tempted to kiss his mate. Layla blushed when she noticed his movement. She pinche
Jared was worried. He left his mate and their daughter home. Polly was sick and couldn’t come with him to the celebration. He was reluctant to go but she convinced him that he must. “You’re an alpha now. Your presence is required.” When he didn’t look convinced, she added, “We’ll be fine here. Nothing would happen. Alex already confirmed that there are no more Lycans. No one would attack us while you’re gone. Besides, don’t you remember Luna’s words? We’ll have a son soon.” Her eyes twinkled, looking forward to having another child. She has waited for so long before they were blessed with one. The prospect of having another made her excited. She wanted to be a mother. She wanted them to have an actual family, complete with children. He sighed as he relented, “Fine. I’ll come back as soon as I can.” “I know. Try to have a little fun, Jared. The war is over. When you return, we’ll be able to focus on our own lives. I’d like to see you spend some time with your daughter.” Jared grun
When they retired to their room, Alex and Luna stared at each other in all seriousness. Then, they both sighed. The celebration was tiring and they’re glad it was over. They also ended up chuckling at their similar reactions. “Tired?” He helped her take off the crown and the light cape she’s wearing. “Hmm.” She stood still for a moment before doing the same for him. “I’m not wearing that crown every day.” She declared as she stored them in a separate cabinet. “I’m with you. It’s quite impractical.” He went to take a shower and she joined him after getting a change of clothes. As they laid on the bed, Luna tried to relax in his arms. “What are you thinking?” He gently asked while caressing her hair. “Will you share your plans now? The Lycans are no longer a threat. What do you have in mind?” She spoke softly, tilting her head to look at her mate. “Do you foresee other threats in our future?” His question made her pause and he caught the moment she had a vision. He waited and did
Alex already came up with a few things they want to establish for the welfare of most packs. He can’t say they’re the best with training, but he’s sure they can come up with the best training program. The other alphas could come in to give lessons once in a while. No one contradicted this suggestion so it was easily given a go signal. They still need to prepare the infrastructure so it would take time. It would be like a training camp, which would only last a few months per batch. Their target date was a year from now, making it quite manageable. Luna was highly interested. She knew it’s a way for their future daughters to meet their mates and it would work the same way for others. It’s a good channel to allow members from various packs to legitimately meet in a safe environment. The year passed by and Luna gave them another surprise. It was unheard of but it made everyone accepting of what’s to come. It also destroyed the remaining doubts in the hearts of everyone. As for an heir, L
Alexander, or more commonly known as Alex, is the son of Clyde and Sab, the current Alpha and Luna of Snow Mountain. Their pack is well-known for white werewolves, the same color as the snow that covers their territory during winter. Their family is different than most, owing to the fact that his grandmother is a hybrid. Her name was Alice, a half-werewolf and half-vampire. She gave birth to twins. Alex’s father was born a werewolf, but his uncle came out as a vampire. They both experienced anomalies, though. He’s not sure about the details. Apparently, they possessed certain abilities not available to the rest of their respective kind. They also experienced situations that are unique to them. They do believe that those anomalies might still manifest in future generations. Alex is nearing thirty years old and he hasn’t found his mate yet. He has a younger brother named Tyler. He’s much younger, only turning eighteen this year. Both of them are affirmed to be werewolves. The elders a
Alex frowned at hearing that voice. He looked around.“Did anyone else hear that voice?” He just knew it was in his head and not something he heard with his ears. The men looked at one another before shaking their heads.“I didn’t hear anything.” Someone affirmed.“Did you?” Another asked.Alex focused on the wolf, “Did you just speak to me?”“I did.” The sound he heard has an underlying tone of laughter.“Who are you? Show yourself.”“I’m not there. I’m simply speaking to you through my wolf. This is Akira.”“You’re not here? Where are you, then? You didn’t answer the first question. Who are you?” He was sure he heard a giggle but the wolf’s face didn’t show any change.“My dearest Alex, I’m your mate.”His eyes slightly widened in surprise. “How did you know my name?”“Because you’re my mate. I have known your existence for years.”Alex was confused. What kind of sorcery is this? He has never heard of communicating through a wolf. He frowned.“You’re lying. This wolf is you. You sh
