Leisha crept out of her room like a thief, moving quietly and carefully.

She slipped into the study, and once she was certain no one was watching, she swiftly opened the safe, took out some documents, and photographed them.

The whole process was fluid as if she had done it countless times.

The next morning, she feigned weakness and said to my mother, “Mom… I need to go to the hospital for dialysis today. Could you transfer me another hundred thousand dollars?”

“Of course!” my mother agreed without hesitation and quickly completed the transaction.

Not long after, Leisha changed into a lavish outfit and headed straight to the nearest upscale shopping mall.

Inside, she selected a few of the latest designer bags and then called my mother. “Oh, these bags are so beautiful! But it’s so sad to think I might not have much time to enjoy them…”

“Don’t be sad, my dear!” my mother immediately comforted her. “If you like them, buy them! Money is not an issue.”
