Pagkalabas ko ng lobby, my car was already waiting for me. Tumunog ang aking cellphone. It was Angela again, sending me the address of her brother’s firm and his name. I replied with a confirmation and quickly slid into the backseat, nodding at my driver to get going.

"Dito po tayo, Manong," utos ko habang pinapakita ang address na naka-flash sa screen ng aking cellphone.

Ilang minuto lang ay narating na namin ang address na ibinigay ni Angela. The building was an old but well-kept structure, tucked away in a quiet part of the city. Napansin ko agad ang discreet na signage na may nakalagay na "MTR Private Investigations."

I straightened my posture as the car stopped in front of the entrance.
