Book Two: Branch Forty Eight

Aletta had chosen that time because she knew that everyone resumed work by eight and they needed a quiet time before the rush of the day.

"Here have this," she said pushing the cup of take-out coffee in his hands.

"Thank you" he murmured taking a sip and savouring the smell and taste of freshly brewed coffee. Why did he not realize it since? She knew him so well it was kind of illegal. She knew how he liked his coffee and many other things others might find extremely weird.

"How did you know I would need this?" he asked following her as she made her way to his office where they would have peace.

"Because l could barely sleep last night and I figured that you might also be awake trying your best to figure out what to do" she said pushing the door open and entering allowing him to follow behind her.

"You should have allowed the gentleman to get the door for you" he murmured.

"We do not have time to spell out the gender roles" she said dropping her coffee to the coffee table in front o

Aw but he’s rite. That’s a bad idea. Just admit that he’s dating it’s none of their business. It’s his personal life. Don’t say anything at all brainstorm together.
