"A drunken mistake?" Joshua said in a strained voice.

"Come on, you know when I drink a little and then I say things just because I am under the influence" she said trying her best to justify herself.

"I spoke with you yesterday, you were only tipsy and I know you quite well. You hardly get drunk and you hardly speak out of place when drunk" he said and she rolled her eyes.

"Of course, you know me well so I can not lie to you" she said taking a seat on the nearest couch.

"Why did you do this?"

"Do I need a reason ?"

"Are you trying to say that you told your girlfriends what I said to you in confidence without a reason? " this time his voice sounded as angry as he was.

"It's just girl gossip you know? I had not seen them in a long time and we needed something to talk about" she said flicking her nails and looking up.

"Girl gossip?"

"It does not mean anything and the gossip or rumour or whatever would die down before you know it" she added when she saw the strained expression on his
