So, this was what Henry meant by telling her everything.

It turned out Macie still cared about Henry, and Henry... probably liked Macie too. I was just an inconvenient and annoying mistake. All his previous actions were just a cruel joke. I had never felt so embarrassed.

"Macie," I started, my voice barely a whisper. "You... You know everything?"

She looked at me with a flat expression, devoid of any warmth. "Yeah, Wendy. I know."

I felt the sting of humiliation, my face burning. "I'm sorry," I muttered, my eyes fixed on the floor. "It was a mistake. I'll move out."

There was a long pause before Macie finally responded, "Alright."

She did not try to stop me and did not even argue. It was clear she thought I was not worth her time. I turned to leave, the weight of the situation pressing down on me.

Just as I reached the door, Macie's voice stopped me. "Wendy, you should get a boyfriend. You know, so I can feel more at ease."
