Their relationship was not like that? Oh, I got it now. It was probably like my company, where office romances were a no-go.

As soon as I pushed open the door to the karaoke room, Henry's intense gaze locked onto me. I tried my best to avoid looking at him, but Macie seemed tipsy and was basically shrieking out songs with two other colleagues.

The seats were all taken, except for the one next to Henry. Macie, carefree as always, pushed me to sit next to him.

Henry leaned back, his arm draped over the back of the couch. It felt like I had sat right in his lap. He was wearing a black shirt that was unbuttoned to the third button, showing off his enticing collarbone.

Henry's hand subtly moved closer, his fingertips lightly brushing my neck, sending shivers down my spine. Macie was still here. How could he be so bold?

I quickly stood up, excusing myself to the restroom. I practically ran away.
