CHAPTER 7

Maeve...

   I did as Xavier ordered and went to shower. I don't know for how long I stood in front of the mirror staring at my naked self. My hands and face were covered with blood. People's blood. I felt horrible and Though I felt disgusted with myself for feasting on people like that, I enjoyed it and that's what scared me the most. So before I become a complete monster I decided not to feed anymore. It was better to bind my vampire side because I just cannot live with myself if I kill another person.

 As I stared at myself the strangest thing happened, My red hair turned back to it's natural silver white colour. That has to mean something. I'll have to ask Meryl later.

  I couldn't continue looking at myself like this so I got to the shower stepping under the spraying water without even waiting for the water to turn hot.

I soaped all over my body washing off the dried up blood.

   It's only when I get out of the bathroom that I realised I didn't have anything else to wear. As if on cue there's a knock on the door. I usher them in and a woman I don't recognise comes in.

"Good day, Your Majesty." She greets and my eyes widen.

"Um...ok" I draw out.

"Lady Anessa, said to give you this." She places a dress and new pair of underwear on the bed for me.

"If there's anything else I can help you with...."

I nod. "Do you happen to know where Xavier is?"

"In His Office. Your Majesty." She tells me before leaving. The formality was quite weird and unusual but I could get used to it. Since I'm pretty sure I'm stuck here.

 

   I finally found Xavier's office after walking in circles. The Castle was huge it made me wonder how they managed to get around.

"I'm working Maeve." He monotoned just when I entered his study closing the door behind me.

"How did you know it's me?" I ask since his eyes were closed.

"Your scent. You reek of Virginity." He tells me pulling his eyes open and watching me intently.

"Or am I wrong?"

I suddenly didn't have anything to say so I slowly start to back away ready to leave his office. I head for the door pulling it open but it Slams shut and I glance behind me.

"How do you do that?"

"I move things with my mind." He mutters getting up from his chair.

"Me too. I can also freeze time and other things too." I tell him wanting to make small talks but he seems intent on going straight to the point.

He nods. "Why are you here?" He asked staring at me intently that I had to look away. My eyes trail to the bin in a corner. There was few clothes items in it and I could make out that they belonged to a woman because of the torn lace underwear.

"I see you were really busy." I mutter slowly turning around.

"Yes I was." I'm startled when he suddenly appears in front of me blocking access to the door. "But then I realised that she wasn't what I need. Who I need."

"Oh." I let out moving away from him. He was blocking my exit so I moved farther into his office.

"Do you know who I need?" He asked and i shake my head still backing away from him.

"You. I need you."

I was expecting that but my breath still hitched. "I can't. No." I managed to say.

"Why? Is it because you're a Virgin?"

Of course it's because I'm a Virgin!

"I don't want to."

"I'm a Demon Maeve. I basically smell lust and trust me I can grant you all of your sexual desires and leave you wanting more."

His desk stops me from moving.

"Meave....I love the name." he drawls playing with my hair. "Your hair is White again."

I nod. "Yes it is."

"And tis Beautiful. You're beautiful either way."

He takes a step closer to me closing the gap between our bodies and my breath seizes. His face is only a few inches away from mine but he doesn't make an attempt to kiss me.

"I want you and I know you want me too. I can smell it. You need to feel touched and loved."

I suddenly couldn't form words. I felt his hand snake around my waist.

"We should make your dream come true. Do you want that?"

I don't answer only close my eyes and let myself enjoy the way his hands roamed my body. He lifts me up with ease placing me on his desk then stepping in between my parted legs. I reached to touch him but he doesn't let me. He keeps both my hands behind my back in his grip.

"What does being your Mate mean?" I ask suddenly keeping my eyes shut.

I feel his soft lips on my exposed neck kissing and sucking.

"It means you're Mine. Only mine and you won't be able to be with another Man except me."

"What does it mean for you?"

He kisses my collarbone. "I'm in your control. I'm all yours and no woman can bear me offsprings except you."

My breath hitches and I prey my eyes open. I start to close my legs but he doesn't let me.

"I'm not ready Xavier." I mutter.

"You will mate with me sooner or later. So why should we delay?" He grips my thigh. My arms were beginning to ache from their position behind my back and also because his grip was becoming tighter.

"Why not make it soon. Maybe sooner."

I struggle to get out of his grip. "Let go of me."

"Mate with me." He demands. I can tell mating with him means sex but why he was adamant on it, is something I fail to understand.

"I'm scared Xavier. You can tell I haven't done this before. I'm scared of the pain I'll feel." I admit. The stern look on his face softens and he let's go of my hands making me let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"I'll be gentle with you but I can't promise to be patient." With that being said he shadows himself out of the room turning into Dark smoke and disappearing. I suddenly missed his closeness. My hands automatically move to core between my legs. I'm not one bit surprised at how wet I was for him.

   I leave his office and tried to find my way back to my room. After many wrong turns I still didn't know how to get back to my room but I somehow ended up outside. So I left the castle and decided to explore the town. Cressida was actually a beautiful and exciting place. It was both modern and old fashioned at the same time.

I explored the local market and mall even talked to some very nice people. Mostly women who were fascinated by my unusual hair. It was getting late so decided I needed to get back to the castle. Soon I realized was lost as I somehow ended up in a dark alley. I suddenly felt a sense of déjà vu. Last time I was in an alley this scary, a demon tried to kill me.

  Only now did it occur to me that leaving the Castle without informing anyone nor with company was the dumbest decision ever.

I heard deep Male voices and laughter. Before I could hide they spotted me and immediately made their way towards me. The stench of Alcohol reached my nose as they reached me. I immediately knew they were drunk. i'm not sure demons can be drunk though.

"What's wrong pretty? Are you lost?" One of the three drunk guys with devil horns asked. He sniffed the air.

"Innocent." He says smiling and flashing his fangs.

  I panicked and started to run but they moved in supernatural speed now surrounding me. I succumbed to the fear building inside of me.

"What is an Innocent girl like yourself doing in Minotaur's territory?" A different guy asked. Unlike the first one who has dark hair, this one was blonde and the last one had fiery red hair.  The blonde and red looked so alike almost like twins only difference was their hair.

"I..I got lost." I stutter.

"Let us help you find your way then." The last one says into my ear and I jump at his closeness.

"Please let me go." I plead.

"She isn't claimed yet." The first guy states.

The second guy reaches for me and I instinctively push him away. The third guy holds my hand captive behind my back while gripping my hair. My dress is suddenly ripped off me and I gasp let out a cry of fear.

I somehow always end up in trouble and when that happens I call out to Xavier. Which is exactly what I did now hoping that he would find me through whatever bond we share.

"But she has a mate." The blond guy stated trailing a finger on the mating symbol on my abdomen.

He looks up at me while I struggle to get out of the red guy's hold.

"Your mate must have been preserving you. How sad he won't get to be your first."

"Sebastian we shouldn't. We don't know who her mate is. It could be someone who can end us." The first guy tells the blonde looking very unsure.

The blonde whom I'm guessing is Sebastian glares at him. "Shut up Duke. We have a lost virgin and you just want to let her go?"

"Exactly." Duke says. "Look I'm out. If your Father finds out. He won't do anything to you both but me? I'll be dead for sure." Before any of them could say anything Duke left.

I was hoping they would leave too but I was wrong.

Sebastian gripped my jaw looking even more angry.

"Who is your Mate?"

"Xavier." I let out.

The red guy scoffs. "Which Xavier?" He asked.

"The king. Xavier." I tell them more accurately and I'm surprised when they burst out laughing.

"Is this a joke? Everyone knows The Emperor lost his mate years ago." Sabastian says. He squeezes my left breast. "For that stunt. No more foreplay. Let's get to the real deal." He brings his face closer to mine and does something I don't expect he bites me and I cry out in pain as I feel him draining me. I struggle to get out of Red's hold.

Sabastian suddenly pulls away from me screaming in pain. Red let's go of me going to help his friend but that's when the unexpected happened. Sebastian melted. Almost like he burned from the inside out before melting.

Red stares at me wide eyed. "You're an Alp. A Mara." He says incredulously moving away from me.

"You killed my brother." He leaves in supernatural speed and I was left there. Standing half naked and staring at the damaged I caused without meaning to. I could help but cry knowing I had killed another person.

Xavier.

Xavier!

I cry out in my mind. Black smoke surrounds me as he forms himself.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" He barks. I immediately go to him wrapping my arms around him.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I don't know how I....I don't-" I don't finish as I began to sob. Xavier pulls me away from me slowly making his way to the puddle of black goo that was supposed to be a Vampire with horns.

"Who?" Xavier simply asked.

I sniffle. "I...I.. His name was Sebastian." Xavier abruptly turns to me.

"We have to get out of here." He grips my arm and shadowed us out of there. We were back at the Castle in his room.

"Why in hell did you leave the castle?!" He barked.

I flinch. "I'm sorry." I say quietly staring down at my feets.

"And what where you doing in the Minotaur's territory?" He questioned.

I bite my bottom lip. "I got lost and then they...they tried to....they tried to ra-force me." I couldn't bring myself to say the R word out loud.

This time when I walk into Xavier arms he wraps his arms around me tightly.

"You shouldn't have left. Even if you are to leave you should have at least taken someone with you. A guard. That's why they're there!" He scolds and I sob into his tux.

"Sabastian is Minotaur's son. Half Vampire, half demon. He was his heir and you just killed him. Do you know what that means?"

I slightly pull away from him Staring up at him.

"No." I admit quietly.

" Just like Alp and Maras' there's only a few Minotaurs left and you just made it less. Which means, Minotaur will want your head." My breath hitches.

"I won't let that happen. Sebastian fed on you and that's what caused his death. Your blood is harmful to anyone who consumes it." He informs me.

"Tell me. Did you mention anything about your Mate?"

I nod slowly detaching myself from him and going to the bed to sit. "I told them you are mate but they didn't believe me. That's when he hit me."

"Why didn't you fight back Maeve. You need to learn how to fight back." He lowers himself to my level going on one knee. He caresses my face and I mean into his touch.

"I won't always be there to protect you. So I need you to fight back."

"I was scared. They were three of them." I tell him.

"Do you know their names?"

I shake my head. "Well they were three, Duke, Sebastian and the last one I didn't get his name but he had red hair and looked alot like Sebastian."

"Terrence is Sebastian Twin brother. Duke is their friend."

"Duke left. He didn't want to be part of anything they planned on doing to me."

Xavier sighs settling on the bed and pulling me to sit on his lap. He held me tight like I was going to slip away if he didn't keep me close.

"You're a Virgin. Anyone can smell you innocence from afar. Minotaurs are know for their strength and Sex appeal. Tis what makes them stronger. You have no idea what they could have done to you."

  The thought alone scared the hell out of me.

"So please Maeve do not ever leave this Castle if I'm not there with you. If I have to chain you to my bed I will but I don't want you feeling like a prisoner. So please be safe for me."

I nod and he kisses the top of my head.

I can't believe I almost lost this.
