CHAPTER 2

Meave Spelman...

  

    "..And Cut!" Gavin exclaims. I sigh getting up from my place on the ground lying in my own pool of fake blood. "Perfect Meave! Perfect!" He praises me as I make my way towards them.

"Does Meryl Streep have to die at the beginning?" I ask thinking it was weird that the Star dies at the beginning.

  I didn't even finish studying the script.

"You should read the Book. In the Beginning, Meryl is chased by demons then she dies but Xander brings her back to life turning her to a vampire. Then She hunts the demons that killed her and she destroys them." Gavin explains.

"So the movie is all about Revenge?" I ask wiping the fake blood off my face with the towel a staff handed me.

Gavin sighs probably tired of my questioning ass. "Yes but along the way they fall in Love. This is a classic!"

I roll my eyes. "Yeah so why on earth do we have to Shoot Here in Cress Heights?"

Gavin shakes his head smiling. Why the fuck is he smiling?

"If you had done the research then you'd know that according to the Myths, it all happened right here in Cress Heights; A century ago.

So what other place to make a movie than where it all started." He says excitedly. Knowing that, that all happened here changed my perspective  of the Story. Knowing what I know about Cress Heights then it could all be real and not just a myth.

  Either way I don't care. 

Nathan Cress should be here soon. He's the asshole playing Xander. Everyone says we have a connection but I honestly doubt that because I can't stand him and his loudmouth.

   I grab my phone; I had put it on silent earlier. I see that Katie had left me with two missed calls and two messages.

Kay♡: Cassie is at the Academy! I thought she left for Utah!

I chuckle. I could already tell she was freaking out. Cassandra is her Witch Ex-girlfriend. They were sure they loved each other.

At least Katie did, I don't know about Cassandra. I wasn't exactly close to her since She was Beatrice's Bestfriend. Which meant they were among the Many people who thought I didn't deserve Devon.

Kay♡: Fuck! She actually wants to talk. Oh and Devon is coming to escort you home after your shoot.

Shit! Now it's my turn to freak out. Her message was sent forty minutes ago which means Devon should have been here. I lift my head scanning the area but I don't see him. I suddenly had the feeling something was wrong.

I need to go home.

  I was startled by the shrieking of tires. I look up and saw a red pickup come to a halts. Everyone is just as curious and shocked as I am. The driver's door flung open and a very bloody Nathan who had a bite mark on his thigh fell out of it. There was screams and He was crying for help.

My eyes widen and I start to call Katie to make sure she's ok but her message came in.

'SALTS!'

Her message confirmed everything. That was code for there's a demon attack or I'm in danger either way I need to get to Witch Academy but I just can't let my Crew die if there's danger.

"We need to leave!" I yell at everyone.

"Nathan needs help!" Gavin tells at me.

I shake my head. "Stay out here any longer and that'll be you. Only that you'll be missing your head. Forget about packing and get to the fucking cars and drive to The Hotel now!" I yell at everyone.

"We can't let Him die." A girl says and I glare at her.

"Go. I'll get him to safety." I tell them. I watch the Six of them hurriedly get into the two cars while I make my way towards Nathan. I cast a spell on him to relieve the pain before dragging him back into the truck. I didn't have a plan. I can't take him to Witch Academy. Humans aren't allowed but I guess that's my only option.

  I got into truck and sped to the Academy. With a Glamour spell The elders made the huge Academy look like an abandoned building.

   My heart was so beating fast. I was hoping by the time I get there then Grandma and Katie were there.

    I succeeded in getting Nathan to the Academy.

"How dare you bring a human here?!" Freya scolds me. She's one of the elders. 

I shake my head. "He was attacked he needs help. There's something out there and we are not safe."

I tell her frantically. She tended up immediately. She orders some student to take him for treatment.

"Where are Fiona and Katherine?" Freya asked me and I froze.

"What? They're not here?"

She shakes her head. I don't think twice before turning towards the exit.

"Meave! You can't leave. It's dangerous." She trys to reason.

"My Family is in Danger. I'm going to help." I say adamantly heading out there. I feel a grip on my wrist stopping me. I turn to her and I see she has her magical whip out. I remember how much I hated that Whip when i was a student here.

  She may think I'm still the weak teenager who was simply horrible at magic but I'm not that girl anymore.

"Let me go Freya." I seethe.

She tightens the grip her whip has on me.

"It's Dangerous. You said it yourself. I'll have the Warlocks go to their aid but you stay here."

Doing the same trick I did on Devon, I squeeze her Organs from the inside. Once her hold on me is released I sent her flying across the room.

  I took off running out of the building and back to the Truck.

  On my drive home, I couldn't help but think of the trouble they could be in. I keep trying Katie's number but nothing. It rang but no one answered. A single tear escaped my eyes knowing that they could be in serious danger or worst. Dead.

  I don't think I can handle it if anything happens to them.

   I was so deep in my thoughts. My mind drifted from the road by the time I realised how fast I was going it was too late. I almost hit a child so to avoid hit the Child I swerved the wheels and hit something else. I immediately hit the breaks stopping the car and getting out.

  I took a step back when I see I hit some kind of monster or demon. My first instinct was to protect the scared child.

  I pushed him behind me protectively as we watch the creature start to get up.  I grabbed his hand and we took off. Running as fast as our legs could take off.

  My heart was racing. We hit a dead end and I didn't know what else to do. I pulled the child behind a dumpster and we hid. It's only then did I find out He was injured badly and he applied pressure on the open bleeding wound on his side.

"I'm going to get us to a safe place." I whisper. I ripped the sleeves off my shirt making it a tank top. I pressed the ripped sleeve on his wound. I noticed how weak he is and his eyes were closing.

I nudge him gently. "Stay with me." I mutter and he slowly nods.

  I get up from our hiding place ready to fight.

  The disgusting blood sucking demon showed up. To my surprise it turns to a man. He gives me a devilish smile.

"Did no one tell you not to go out after dark?" He tells me slowly making his way towards me and I tried to back away from him.

"You must be New here then. Give me the Kid. Maybe then I'll spare your life."

He proposed. I doubt if I let him have the kid he'll let me go alive.

I don't say anything instead I get into combat mood.

He chuckles. "The hard way then." Je lifts his hand and I gulp at the fireball he was forming. Before he could strike. A lava ball came from no where hitting him. I watch the demon Melt.

  I frown looking up from the puddle of melted demon. I see the Man come out from the Shadows. I take in his features once he stood under the streetlight. Hus dark brown hard glistened and he was in a grey sweatpant and black tshirt. He looked like he just got out of bed.

I go over to the Injured kid behind the Dumpster gathering him into my arms.

"Hey hey. Stay with me." I mutter. Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. I try to heal him but I couldn't. I felt tears sting my eyes as I prey them open.

  I can't let him die. I admit I get way too emotional when people die even though I don't know them.

I try again. This time harder but nothing. I gasp breathing heavily.

"Any harder and you'll lose conciousness." I hear The man say and I shake my head.

"I can't heal him." I mutter in a broken voice.

"He's infected." The Man states. I turn to face him with the kid in my arms.

"You're Meave Spelman. My Mate talks alot about you."

I frown. "Who are you?"

"Xander. You're supposed to be doing a movie about my love life." He counters and my frown deepens.

"Is this a joke?"

He chuckles. "Did that Lava trick I pulled seem like a trick?"

No. It didn't.

"You're a Vampire." I mutter.

"You're a Witch. I should kill you but for some reason; My Brother wants you alive and unharmed." He tells me and before I could comprehend his words. He grips my arm and the next thing we weren't at the cold wet alley anymore we were now in a well furnished and dark room.

"She's All yours." Xander says and I scan the room but no one was in it. He takes the kid from me and vanishes. As if on cue Black smoke started forming a man and I raced for the door.

I reach for the doorknob but there was none. Not even a lock or handle of some sort.

"You can't leave unless I let you." A deep voice fills my ears and His British accent was evident. I recognize the voice immediately. As it is one that I hear every time I close my eyes.

I slowly turn around meeting those mesmerizing brown eyes. I gasp backing up against the door.

"You're the girl from my dreams." He says flatly taking slow steps towards me and I see his shirtless. The tattoos that filled his body glowed from the moonlight.

My breathing quicken. "You're real."

"Yes and you're going to explain to me why I feel you everywhere. Why can't I get you out of my head?"

I shake my head opening my mouth to talk but nothing comes out.

He sniffs the air before meeting my eyes. "You're a witch." He scoffs. "I smell some power magic on you. Black magic."

He tells me, his voice coming out deeper than necessary.

"Who are you?" I say in confusion.

He was now so close to me. Our bodies were only few inches apart.

"I go by many names. But call me Xavier."

I meet his brown eyes that were now darker. "Meave." I tell him in a whisper.

"How are you able to save me in my dreams?"

"I somehow feel drawn to you. Though I cannot explain it." His British accent fills my ears.

I take in his words. "You knew I was in danger. How did you know where to find me?"

He shakes his head. "I just felt it. I feel you. There's some kind of connection between us and I cannot let you go till I find out how we are connected." He tells me flatly.

I scoff. "No you don't understand. I cannot be here right now. My family is in Danger. They need my help." I try to reason.

He studies me. "Strip."

My eyes widen at his demand. "What? No!"

"I do not like to repeat myself Meave." He tells me in a low and dangerous voice. Though I found myself liking the way he called my name.

  I do as he says stripping until I was just in my pink lace panties and bra.

"Nice D-cup." He mutters and I found myself blushing.

  His eyes trail down my body and widen when they land on my abdomen.

He takes a step back.

"Impossible."

My eyes follow his to my abdomen and I see a glowing symbol on my stomach.

"That's new." I mutter. My eyes automatically went to his abs and I see his glowing symbol which is identical to mine.

  I make the bold move to touch him but he grabs my wrist stopping me from making contact with his Skin.

"Don't ever touch me." He seethes abruptly dropping my hand.

"I don't know what is going on but right now I really need to lea-

"I was told you were dead." He mutters suddenly.

"What?" I drawled.

He meets my eyes. "I cannot let you go till I know what is going on."

"No. I c-

"You'll stay. won't you?" He asked. His brown eyes boring into mine. Mesmerizing me. Putting me in a trance that I could not get out of.

"You'll stay with me. Won't you Meave?"

I slowly nod not seeming to be able to look away. "I'll stay with you Xavier."

He smirks at me and I suddenly snap back to myself.

I don't know what just happened but I think I just made a deal with the Devil.
