"We can't, the client meeting is at two," I remind him.

"I didn't bring you here to work," he says.

I look at him incredulously. "But I'm your secretary, and there's a very important client waiting."

"You're also my girlfriend."

"Fake," I correct. "I'm still your fake girlfriend."

He gives a puzzled look. I don't know if he's annoyed, maybe he is, but right now, that's the reality, and there's no reason for him to be upset.

He sighs, and his expression softens.

"I'll go alone and meet with the client, then I'll come back to our room, and I want you to be ready and waiting for me."

"But...?" I start to say.

"No 'buts,' you'll do as I say."

With that, he leaves and exits the suite.

I was supposed to come here to work, not to hang out, lying on a bed while I wait for him. I don't know what he's planning, but I'm dying to find out.
