I give him a glance. He's lost in his thoughts as he looks at the road. I wonder what he's thinking.

I'm surprised when he briefly turns his eyes toward me. Daniel takes my hand, which is resting on my thigh, and gently squeezes it.

"Is it because you're tired?" I deduce.

What else could it be? Or rather, I want to believe that's the reason.

He just focuses on the road and then lifts my hand to his lips and kisses it.

"It can't affect me as much as not touching you like I did the last time in that car," he replies, looking at me again and smiling. I feel my cheeks heating up. "I'm trying not to lose control. With you beside me, it's impossible," he winks.

I hope it's just that, even though his words leave me feeling warm and aroused between my legs. I squirm in my seat, feeling restless.
