My mom and I are cooking dinner while a Whitney Houston song is playing on my music player. My mother is a fan of her music, I really like it too, because since I was a child I have been used to listening to it because of the woman who gave me life.

I accept that I have been trying to focus on everything that my parents have offered me since I came home, but my mind always ends up somewhere else, far away from here, and that has had me very overwhelmed.
