Chapter Twenty-five: An ulterior motive

SILAS'S POV

I looked into Heracles' eyes and I kept thinking that I must find a way to come out of this trap. I must find a way to go back to my mission. But this is not the right time. I still need to learn a lot. And since this is the greatest hub of knowledge in the supernatural world, why don't I just stay here for as long as I can?

"You know I was only teasing you, relax old mage."

I said, playfully as I broke the ice.

"What?"

Saul asked me, a bit confused.

"It's best that we stay here, brother."

I said to him,

"What do you mean? I can't stay here with these strange creatures!"

He protested.

"What is out there for us, anyway? Outside is full of darkness and lost hope. But here, we can learn a lot and even live like the mages. It's not so bad of a lifestyle."

"Whether you like it or not, you are staying here. We are the only ones that can make you come out of here alive and we have not broken our pact with ourselves in centuries, we will not do it for any oth
