EMMA'S POV
“We have just finished administering the drugs for the Alpha, we hope that he gets back to his feet as soon as possible.” The pack doctor revealed, as I stare down at my husband being covered in blankets by Jeremy, his first cousin.
“Thank you very much doctor, when the Alpha gets back to his feet, I am sure he is going to compensate you for all your effort.” I commended.
After he was gone, I approached the bed where my husband lays and sat down beside him, holding up his hands.
“Sometimes I wish that the moon goddess could just grant me peaceful death, instead of a troublesome one like this.” He said.
“You cannot say a thing like that Simon, the Pack doctor said you are responding to treatment and that is all that matters right now.” I said, squeezing his hands in comfort.
“How much more can I thank you? Both you and Jeremy have been the ones taking good care of me.” I looked up at Jeremy, whose gaze was on me but he quickly shifted them back to Simon.
“You don’t have anything to worry about. You are the Alpha and soon enough, the pack will need its leader back to his feet.” He said.
There was a knock on the door and Beta James stepped inside the room, “Alpha, I understand your condition and believe me when I say, I am the most worried out of everyone, but the council has been asking questions as of late and I have ran out of excuse to tell them. They gather at the chambers right demanding for your presence.”
“They must be clearly out of their mind!” I expressed and turned to my husband. “I will attend to them, you don’t have to burden yourself with their nonsense. Anyone who tries to dare the Luna will be dealt with properly” I said, letting go of his hands with the intention to leave the room.
“Emma…” His voice forced me to stop on my track. “I understand that you are looking out for me, but the council members are tough people and will only listen to the Alpha.” He added.
“You don’t have to worry about that Alpha, the Luna is right and anyone who thinks they can challenge her authority, will have me to face.” Jeremy said.
“How much can I thank you more than this? I know when I am well, there will be rewards for you Jeremy, you have my permission to be the disciplinarian in the council, when the Luna is speaking.” Jeremy nodded and looked at my direction with a smile.
We all head out of the room and while we approached the chamber, I turned to Jeremy whose eyes were still gazed in my direction.
“Luna, we are here.” I broke away from staring at Jeremy, before heading into the chambers.
The council members rose to their feet, as I took my sit on the throne. The first matter called by Beta James was stopped by the lead member of the Council known as Adam.
“Luna with all due respect, we need to have the Alpha seated on the throne. There are pressing matters that only him can attend to.” Adam expressed, while looking at other council members for support.
“Do you undermine my ability as the Luna of this Pack?” I asked.
“I will never dare undermine your ability. However, when it comes to some important matters, it is wise that the Alpha is present and I still don’t understand why none of you wishes to allow him speak with us.” Adam stated once more.
“Alpha Simon is indisposed and whatever you want to say, should be directed to the Luna.” Jeremy replied.
“I am sorry Jeremy, we cannot discuss a matter of such importance with a feeble minded…” I rose to my feet in fury, realizing where this was heading to.
“I dare you to mention that one word Adam. How dare you disrespect me, I can have you dealt with seriously.” My voice was loud enough for the entire room to hear and this forced Adam back to his sit.
“You do not have any right to speak to an old council member like that Luna.” Isak, another member rose to his feet and declared.
“Aside from the fact that you are the Alpha’s whore, you don’t have anything else to offer to him because we all know you are not his legitimate….”
I gasped as Isak’s head falls off from his body and unto the floor, behind him Jeremy stood with his claws reclining back to his hands.
“I am pretty sure a lot of you don’t have respect for the Luna and because of that single reason, you have no right to speak again”
The room is thrown into chaos as many of the council members stand to their feet and one after the other, they begin to leave the chamber.
I rose to my feet and Beta James comes over to my side. “Luna, what Jeremy has done will create more trouble amongst the council members and the Alpha.” He said.
“You and I know that Isak deserve what was coming. Send words to the Alpha but keep what happened just now a secret away from him, I am going to my room to have a bathe and a change of cloth.” After my instruction, I realized Jeremy was staring in my direction, a smile plastered on his face.
I ignored him and head out of the chamber and while I was heading back to my room, I turned around and find Jeremy behind me.
We both stepped into my room and he closed the door behind him, while I walked to the mirror to look at myself.
“You were bold out there today.” He mentioned.
“I have to do what I have to do, no one else understands this better than you.” I said, looking at him through the mirror as he approached me.
He held my hips and kissed my neck, while my eyes were closed.
“I am not judging sweetheart, I am just happy that soon enough, Simon will be out of the equation and we can finally rule the pack together.” I giggled as he kissed my neck.
“It is only a matter of time indeed.” I mentioned.
Maya povThe music throbbed through the air, mingling with the buzz of conversation and laughter. Ladies and gentlemen from other cities gather for the full moon party, a celebration where each person gets the chance to be mated. My gaze darted around nervously, hoping to catch a glimpse of him- Alpha Simon Shane, the man I had admired from afar for years. I moved through the hall, trying to blend in while my heart thundered in my chest. As I edged closer to the central dance floor, my eyes landed on him. Alpha Simon stood tall, broad shoulders and commanding presence undeniable. For a second our eyes met, and I felt the air shift. My breath hitched. Could it be? Could he have felt it too?I felt the familiar pull in my chest, that primal, unexplainable bond drawing me towards him. The world around me blurred as I walked closer, the noise faded into the background. My wolf stirred up inside of me, recognizing him, calling out to him. “He's the one, our mate.” My heart soared, the
Maya povThe Morning light streamed through the unfamiliar window, the rail hitting my face and jolting me awake. I blinked trying to piece together where I was. As my vision cleared, I froze. Three men lay beside me, all half naked, their muscular form entangled in the sheets, I scrambled back, my heart hammering in the chest. “What have I done?”My hands shook as I glanced at their faces. They weren't just any men, they were Lycans. Panic shot through me as I stared at the three Lycans beside me, their broad chest raising and falling in each breath. My heart pounded so loudly I thought it might wake them. My heart raced, fragments of last night flashing in and out like scattered pieces of a broken mirror.I slid out of the bed moving cautiously so I wouldn't wake them, my feet touched the cold floor, and I winched as I tiptoed towards the door. Every nerve in my body was on a high alert. I glanced back over my shoulder. They were still asleep, their powerful bodies relaxed, obli
Jenkin povI leaned back on my chair, eyes narrowed as I stared at the ceiling of the study. The memories of last night lingered in the back of my mind. Three months had passed since that night at the pub, and yet the image of her was still burning into my brain. The scent of her hair band that was found beside us still haunting me like a ghost I couldn't banish. Her. The woman who had slipped out before any of us could say a word. “Still thinking about her?” Jayden's voice cut through the silence, snapping me back to the present. He was standing by the window, his hand shoved to his pockets, his blue eyes unreadable as he stared out of the city below. I grunted, not bothering to answer, of course I was still thinking about her. “We all were. None of us have been able to get her off our mind since that night.”“She was our mate,” I finally said, my voice low and almost a growl. Jayden turned to face me, his expression darkened. “I know, but what are we supposed to do about it now

My mind always hits up on never finding those men that slept with me, it's something I don't want for myself and my child. How can I even tell the child that I don't know who exactly is his father among the three Lycans? That's a very weird finding. “Do you know laziness kills?” Claire's voice cut through from behind me, I turned immediately to find her holding three empty packs of chocolate, flipping it in the air like a piece of paper. “What's that look, Claire? Please don't call me lazy, I know that empty pack of chocolate wasn't supposed to be kept on the couch.” I said, my voice softened, with my apple baby face that looked so stressed. I could sense that she doesn't want

Dragging my hips on the bed, I accidentally used my leg to push the glass of vodka remaining from last night's drunkenness. It fell off from the coffee table, crashing to the ground and enveloping the room with noise.“What now?” I muttered to myself, as I gently used my barefoot to sweep the glasses to the side, I sighed heavily, caressing my hair to the back. I raised my brows, staring around, my gaze landed on my cell phone on the couch. I reached the couch,I carried the phone, tapping on the button, my eyes widened in shock seeing the number of calls I had missed. It's from the office, well, I hissed and dropped it. I will
