EMMA'S POV
The council members all rose to their feet as I walked into the chamber with Jeremy beside me. I scanned the area while watching the members take their sit to realize a few of them were not in attendance.
“Why is the room not filled up with the council members?” I asked.
“Luna. Many of these people thinks it is unfair that you have to sit on the throne, while the Alpha is sick at the moment.” Maverick, the youngest council member revealed.
“Is that what they think of my position?” I asked in disbelief. “I will like this council to understand that as the wife of the Alpha, I am in charge. No one dares challenge me!”
“You have nothing to worry about Luna. The people that are not in attendance today will be removed from the table eventually…” Jeremy opened up and a smile graced his lips afterwards.
I tried to hide away my smile because of the people around us.
As the meeting was about to begin, the door opens and the pack seer steps into the room. His eyes held mine and all I could see was fury in them.
“This throne has been abused!” He commented, walking forward to the throne.
“You have destroyed the legacy built by many Alphas long before the current one with your actions and I think we both know what I am talking about..” He said while directing his gaze to Jeremy.
“Listen old man, if you have nothing to say then you can as well leave this room” I warned, getting agitated by his comment.
“I have a lot to say but my fear is your bosom friend here not taking actions against me” His words sent whispers across the room.
“Is this what this is all about? Disrespecting the Alpha’s wife because he is weak at the moment?” I rose to my feet angrily.
“I will not allow you tarnish my name because of your comment. You are hereby stripped off your duty as Pack seer”
I heard the audible gasps from the council members.
Jeremy instructs the soldiers to lead him out of the room and I sat back down holding my head and soothing the pain.
How dare he make such a claim in front of everyone?
“Shall we begin the meeting for the day?” One of the council members asked, after the room has returned back to being quiet.
“You know what, I have had enough insults already. There will be no more council meetings. I will be making the decisions that affects the pack. Now everyone can leave”
“But Luna…”
“You heard the Luna!” Jeremy’s voice interrupted them. “Every one of you has made her made and for that reason, you all are going to pay for it”
“This is nonsense! We cannot stand by and watch you rule like an authoritative leader. We were appointed to check mate your actions and you will not…”
Jeremy did not allow him finish. He pulled the member out of his sit and slammed him to the wall.
“Don’t you talk back at the Luna again!” He growled at him and eventually let go of his shirt.
“Now to the rest of you, leave!” He barked and they all scurried away immediately.
The door is closed behind us and Jeremy takes a few steps forward looking at the ground.
“Don’t tell me you are being affected by what they said..” He said, taking observation of my face.
“Do you think our relationship is right Jeremy? I am married to your Nephew and if any one finds out what we have done….”
“Who is going to find out? Tell me. You don’t need to be bothered, I am here for you and I will always protect your interest. That is what matters.” He walked up to the throne and stretched his hand out.
I smiled taking his hand and he pulled me close and planted a quick kiss on my lips.
“You know we are in the chambers right?” I said, giggling as he continued his kiss down to my neck area.
“Who cares? Anyone bold enough to make claims will die in my hand.” He said.
“Maybe you should stop killing or harassing these council members. They are scared of you.”
“As they should be…Now lets go see my weakling nephew” He suggested.
We held hands out of the chamber and by the time we arrived at the Alpha’s room. We both heard him coughing aggressively.
“Who is that?” He asked with his crooked voice.
“Simon it is me” I said, walking over to him and holding his hands.
“Darling...”He said, running his hand down my face. “How have you been?” He asked.
His eyes were weak and his mind did not appear really sharp nor focused.
“I have been well….The council seem not to like the idea that I rule now.” I revealed, looking up at Jeremy who held a smirk on his face.
“They will come to terms with your ruling soon. You just need to be patient with them.” He said and turned his gaze to Jeremy.
“And I know you have been helping her…”
“Indeed uncle. These people are getting on my nerve but like you rightly said, it is only a matter of time before all this is over.”
He began to cough aggressively and I turned to the table to bring out his herbal medicine. Before giving it to him, I sniffed the substance and a shocking smell hit my nose.
“I know you don’t like the smell but that is what keeps me up at this moment.” Simon observed as he collects the herb drink and gulp the entire content.
“I will need you to rest now. We are going to attend to other matters…” I said, pulling over his body the bed cover and tucking him properly into the bed.
As Jeremy and I walked to the door, Simon called us.
“Can I at least see the pack seer? I want to know when I will be up to my feet.”
“Uh…He hasn’t been coming for the council meetings. I will send words to him” I assured.
As Simon turned to the other side of the bed, Jeremy and I got out of the room.
“Those idiots!”
“What is the matter?” Jeremy asked
“They stopped putting the substance in his drink. No wonder he is getting stronger.” I said in a lo
w tone.
“Then we need to get a new maid that will work for us” Jeremy said.
“New maids will be coming soon…”
MAYA'S POVThe atmosphere was gloomy as my Lycan mate all sat on the couch in silence. The death of their father was hurtful, but beyond that was the prophecy he had given before he passed on.“Now that father is gone, we need to come to an agreement how we rule this pack” Jenkins said.“We know the pack members will ask questions about our rulership without a mate. We must first mark our mate.” Jayden replied“Our mate? She is mine and you are dumb” A loud growl erupted out of their lips leaving me speechless.“Can you both just turn it down?” Jethro yelled in frustration. “Father just died and all any of us can do in this moment is try and mourn his death. I am sick and tired of this back and forth fight.”Even though he was the most reserved, I liked Jethro better than the rest of his brothers. The door opens and Aiden walks into the room.“The pack members are outside waiting on the news of the death of the Lycan King.” He said.“So how do we make this announcement?” Jenkins as
Maya povThe music throbbed through the air, mingling with the buzz of conversation and laughter. Ladies and gentlemen from other cities gather for the full moon party, a celebration where each person gets the chance to be mated. My gaze darted around nervously, hoping to catch a glimpse of him- Alpha Simon Shane, the man I had admired from afar for years. I moved through the hall, trying to blend in while my heart thundered in my chest. As I edged closer to the central dance floor, my eyes landed on him. Alpha Simon stood tall, broad shoulders and commanding presence undeniable. For a second our eyes met, and I felt the air shift. My breath hitched. Could it be? Could he have felt it too?I felt the familiar pull in my chest, that primal, unexplainable bond drawing me towards him. The world around me blurred as I walked closer, the noise faded into the background. My wolf stirred up inside of me, recognizing him, calling out to him. “He's the one, our mate.” My heart soared, the
Maya povThe Morning light streamed through the unfamiliar window, the rail hitting my face and jolting me awake. I blinked trying to piece together where I was. As my vision cleared, I froze. Three men lay beside me, all half naked, their muscular form entangled in the sheets, I scrambled back, my heart hammering in the chest. “What have I done?”My hands shook as I glanced at their faces. They weren't just any men, they were Lycans. Panic shot through me as I stared at the three Lycans beside me, their broad chest raising and falling in each breath. My heart pounded so loudly I thought it might wake them. My heart raced, fragments of last night flashing in and out like scattered pieces of a broken mirror.I slid out of the bed moving cautiously so I wouldn't wake them, my feet touched the cold floor, and I winched as I tiptoed towards the door. Every nerve in my body was on a high alert. I glanced back over my shoulder. They were still asleep, their powerful bodies relaxed, obli
Jenkin povI leaned back on my chair, eyes narrowed as I stared at the ceiling of the study. The memories of last night lingered in the back of my mind. Three months had passed since that night at the pub, and yet the image of her was still burning into my brain. The scent of her hair band that was found beside us still haunting me like a ghost I couldn't banish. Her. The woman who had slipped out before any of us could say a word. “Still thinking about her?” Jayden's voice cut through the silence, snapping me back to the present. He was standing by the window, his hand shoved to his pockets, his blue eyes unreadable as he stared out of the city below. I grunted, not bothering to answer, of course I was still thinking about her. “We all were. None of us have been able to get her off our mind since that night.”“She was our mate,” I finally said, my voice low and almost a growl. Jayden turned to face me, his expression darkened. “I know, but what are we supposed to do about it now
Maya's povLet say I have a plan Claire, after getting a job as a cleaner in that organization, I would want to spend a day in taking care of my child, my pregnancy is growing so fast, I said calmly, arranging my dress into a box since it's weekend, my leg curled up on the mattress with the box closer to me. My mind always hits up on never finding those men that slept with me, it's something I don't want for myself and my child. How can I even tell the child that I don't know who exactly is his father among the three Lycans? That's a very weird finding. “Do you know laziness kills?” Claire's voice cut through from behind me, I turned immediately to find her holding three empty packs of chocolate, flipping it in the air like a piece of paper. “What's that look, Claire? Please don't call me lazy, I know that empty pack of chocolate wasn't supposed to be kept on the couch.” I said, my voice softened, with my apple baby face that looked so stressed. I could sense that she doesn't want
Jayden's povThe loud shrilling sound of my alarm erupted through the hair that snapped me off from my precious sleep, I felt my body cracking immediately I stretched out, the stress was visible. “Jayden, it's 8 am, you have meetings to cover up today, so get your ass out of bed, right now,” Jenkin's voice echoed from the corridor, I rolled my eyes playfully. Dragging my hips on the bed, I accidentally used my leg to push the glass of vodka remaining from last night's drunkenness. It fell off from the coffee table, crashing to the ground and enveloping the room with noise.“What now?” I muttered to myself, as I gently used my barefoot to sweep the glasses to the side, I sighed heavily, caressing my hair to the back. I raised my brows, staring around, my gaze landed on my cell phone on the couch. I reached the couch,I carried the phone, tapping on the button, my eyes widened in shock seeing the number of calls I had missed. It's from the office, well, I hissed and dropped it. I will

Settling in a new environment is bound to take a whole lot of time, but I am adapting quickly.“My father has suggested that we meet with him after the meeting.” My thoughts vanished the moment Jenkins spoke, causing me to look at him.“Do you think he is going to like me?” I asked, worry filling up my face.“My father has no choice Maya, we are mates and that is all that matters.” He replied, raising up from the bed and holding my hands while we locked eyes with each other. “You don’t have anything to worry about, I know my father may have his own share of problems, but I am sure that we will be fine.”“Where are the rest?” I asked.“All that matters is that I am here now.” As we continued to share our intimate moment, I knew the rest of my mates will not be happy seeing Jenkins this close to me.There is a loud knock on the door, causing the both of us to break away from the moment of int
EMMA'S POV“We have just finished administering the drugs for the Alpha, we hope that he gets back to his feet as soon as possible.” The pack doctor revealed, as I stare down at my husband being covered in blankets by Jeremy, his first cousin.“Thank you very much doctor, when the Alpha gets back to his feet, I am sure he is going to compensate you for all your effort.” I commended. After he was gone, I approached the bed where my husband lays and sat down beside him, holding up his hands.“Sometimes I wish that the moon goddess could just grant me peaceful death, instead of a troublesome one like this.” He said.“You cannot say a thing like that Simon, the Pack doctor said you are responding to treatment and that is all that matters right now.” I said, squeezing his hands in comfort.“How much more can I thank you? Both you and Jeremy have been the ones taking good care of me.” I looked up at Jeremy, whose gaze was on me but he quickly shifted them back to Simon.“You don’t have anyt
