MAYA'S POV
The atmosphere was gloomy as my Lycan mate all sat on the couch in silence. The death of their father was hurtful, but beyond that was the prophecy he had given before he passed on.
“Now that father is gone, we need to come to an agreement how we rule this pack” Jenkins said.
“We know the pack members will ask questions about our rulership without a mate. We must first mark our mate.” Jayden replied
“Our mate? She is mine and you are dumb”
A loud growl erupted out of their lips leaving me speechless.
“Can you both just turn it down?” Jethro yelled in frustration. “Father just died and all any of us can do in this moment is try and mourn his death. I am sick and tired of this back and forth fight.”
Even though he was the most reserved, I liked Jethro better than the rest of his brothers.
The door opens and Aiden walks into the room.
“The pack members are outside waiting on the news of the death of the Lycan King.” He said.
“So how do we make this announcement?” Jenkins asked turning to his brothers.
“Don’t you think it is best Aiden announce the death of your father and then it will make the public understand that the three of you are mourning”
“No, it doesn’t work that way Luna….” I could see the hatred on his face as he spoke.
“The customs of the pack says only the Lycan sons can make the announcement about the death of their father.” Aiden explained
“Then we change the customs…”Jayden said with a shrug.
“Yeah, Jayden is right. We cannot just walk over and announce the death of our father to these people.”
A smile made its way to my face seeing my triplet mates agree in unison.
For some reason I don’t trust Aiden and his actions and attitude for the past few days has proven as to why he should not be trusted.
“Fine I will make the announcement. Whatever backlash I face from this will only be detrimental to your reigns as Lycan Kings.” He said.
“Just get on with it.”
As soon as he walked out the door, I turned my attention to Jenkins.
“Have you told your brothers about the prophecy revealed by your father?”
“What prophecy?” They asked him in unison.
“Before his death, father made mention of Maya being a moon child and for some reason he seems to be speaking in parables.” Jenkins explains.
“The moon child prophecy….” Jethro observed with a shock on his face. “I have read somewhere about this prophecy, but never believed it to be true.”
“What did it say?” I asked with a sense of eagerness.
“A young maiden known as a moon child who holds the fate of every pack in her hands, According to the text, she will give birth to the first seed of the moon goddess”
Just like me, everyone in the room appeared confused. I tried connecting the dots together but they did not seem to make any sense to me.
“Is there a pack seer that we could perhaps explain this well?” I asked.
“There is only one pack seer with that height of ability, but he leaves outside this pack.” Jenkins revealed.
“He lives in Greenville Pack”
My eyes widened in disbelief hearing the name of my pack.
“Maybe we should forget about it. Your father’s prophecy if true will surely come to pass.” I dismissed.
There was no way I am going back to the pack that held me down emotionally.
The hatred I got for Simon after his action will continue to remain the same and all I ever wish for him will be his own death.
The door opens and Aiden walked inside, a look of frustration on his face.
“They have refused to acknowledge my announcement. The three of you are the only one they will listen to.” He said in frustration.
“Fine, I will go” Jenkin got up to his feet.
“No. It has to be the three of you.” Aiden insisted.
“Who is going to stay back and watch our mate?” Jayden asked him.
“Your mate will be fine. I am sure she will have no problems letting you speak to the people you will rule in the coming days…” Although his comment was okay, I could see the shade he was throwing.
My triplet mates walked out of the room and Aiden proceed to sit down on the couch.
“I have been Beta longer than the times the triplets were born. I don’t like the way you try to change things here young woman.”
“I am not changing things Aiden. You don’t seem to like me and it is fair. We all should stick to our moments together.” I replied.
“Sometimes I wonder why the moon goddess had to give you these Lycans as your mate. Don’t take it that I am jealous, but it makes no sense.” His observation struck a nerve inside of me.
“Now listen up old man. I may not be worthy of being mates with the Lycans. But you cannot change fate. The moon goddess chose me and either you stick with it or leave it.”
He remained silent for a while but after that, he cleared his throat. “I hope the kid inside of you have a father amongst the triplets.”
My response was about to be filled with fury, but I refrained from speaking when the triplets step into the room.
“I guess it was not that hard after all…” Jenkins said while the rest sat beside me.
“Now all that is left is for the three of you to find a way to solve this mate crisis of yours.” Aiden said.
He wasn’t the bold Aiden that had spoken to me a minute a go. His change of personality proved my point, he was not someone to be trusted.
“We don’t have a mate crisis Aiden. I think you should be on your way.” Jethro replied.
Aiden hesitated for a moment, but eventually walked out of the room.
“When al
l of you become Lycan Kings, you will have to reconsider choosing a new Beta.”
“Indeed…” They said in unison.
Maya povThe music throbbed through the air, mingling with the buzz of conversation and laughter. Ladies and gentlemen from other cities gather for the full moon party, a celebration where each person gets the chance to be mated. My gaze darted around nervously, hoping to catch a glimpse of him- Alpha Simon Shane, the man I had admired from afar for years. I moved through the hall, trying to blend in while my heart thundered in my chest. As I edged closer to the central dance floor, my eyes landed on him. Alpha Simon stood tall, broad shoulders and commanding presence undeniable. For a second our eyes met, and I felt the air shift. My breath hitched. Could it be? Could he have felt it too?I felt the familiar pull in my chest, that primal, unexplainable bond drawing me towards him. The world around me blurred as I walked closer, the noise faded into the background. My wolf stirred up inside of me, recognizing him, calling out to him. “He's the one, our mate.” My heart soared, the
Maya povThe Morning light streamed through the unfamiliar window, the rail hitting my face and jolting me awake. I blinked trying to piece together where I was. As my vision cleared, I froze. Three men lay beside me, all half naked, their muscular form entangled in the sheets, I scrambled back, my heart hammering in the chest. “What have I done?”My hands shook as I glanced at their faces. They weren't just any men, they were Lycans. Panic shot through me as I stared at the three Lycans beside me, their broad chest raising and falling in each breath. My heart pounded so loudly I thought it might wake them. My heart raced, fragments of last night flashing in and out like scattered pieces of a broken mirror.I slid out of the bed moving cautiously so I wouldn't wake them, my feet touched the cold floor, and I winched as I tiptoed towards the door. Every nerve in my body was on a high alert. I glanced back over my shoulder. They were still asleep, their powerful bodies relaxed, obli
Jenkin povI leaned back on my chair, eyes narrowed as I stared at the ceiling of the study. The memories of last night lingered in the back of my mind. Three months had passed since that night at the pub, and yet the image of her was still burning into my brain. The scent of her hair band that was found beside us still haunting me like a ghost I couldn't banish. Her. The woman who had slipped out before any of us could say a word. “Still thinking about her?” Jayden's voice cut through the silence, snapping me back to the present. He was standing by the window, his hand shoved to his pockets, his blue eyes unreadable as he stared out of the city below. I grunted, not bothering to answer, of course I was still thinking about her. “We all were. None of us have been able to get her off our mind since that night.”“She was our mate,” I finally said, my voice low and almost a growl. Jayden turned to face me, his expression darkened. “I know, but what are we supposed to do about it now
Maya's povLet say I have a plan Claire, after getting a job as a cleaner in that organization, I would want to spend a day in taking care of my child, my pregnancy is growing so fast, I said calmly, arranging my dress into a box since it's weekend, my leg curled up on the mattress with the box closer to me. My mind always hits up on never finding those men that slept with me, it's something I don't want for myself and my child. How can I even tell the child that I don't know who exactly is his father among the three Lycans? That's a very weird finding. “Do you know laziness kills?” Claire's voice cut through from behind me, I turned immediately to find her holding three empty packs of chocolate, flipping it in the air like a piece of paper. “What's that look, Claire? Please don't call me lazy, I know that empty pack of chocolate wasn't supposed to be kept on the couch.” I said, my voice softened, with my apple baby face that looked so stressed. I could sense that she doesn't want
Jayden's povThe loud shrilling sound of my alarm erupted through the hair that snapped me off from my precious sleep, I felt my body cracking immediately I stretched out, the stress was visible. “Jayden, it's 8 am, you have meetings to cover up today, so get your ass out of bed, right now,” Jenkin's voice echoed from the corridor, I rolled my eyes playfully. Dragging my hips on the bed, I accidentally used my leg to push the glass of vodka remaining from last night's drunkenness. It fell off from the coffee table, crashing to the ground and enveloping the room with noise.“What now?” I muttered to myself, as I gently used my barefoot to sweep the glasses to the side, I sighed heavily, caressing my hair to the back. I raised my brows, staring around, my gaze landed on my cell phone on the couch. I reached the couch,I carried the phone, tapping on the button, my eyes widened in shock seeing the number of calls I had missed. It's from the office, well, I hissed and dropped it. I will

MAYA'S POV“If the both of you were not so level headed, she would not be in this state right now.”“So now you want to blame Jayden and I for everything when you were also part of it?” I groaned as the familiar voices kept going back and forth against each other. I slowly opened my eyes but closed them back, due to the rays of the light in the room.“I think she is slowly waking up.” I opened my eyes once more and this time they fully adjusted to the lights in the room. I slowly tried sitting up, as my triplet mates encircled me.“Where am I?” I asked, trying to make sense of the white colored room and the bed that I laid upon.“Jayden and Jenkins were arguing when you passed out. I tried controlling the both of them, but they kept acting like babies.” Jethro explained, glaring hard at his brothers whose attention were on me.“How do you feel now?” Jayden asked, his voice soften and eyes showing concern.“Weak….I guess” I replied.Behind the triplets, the door opened and a man all d

EMMA'S POVThe council members all rose to their feet as I walked into the chamber with Jeremy beside me. I scanned the area while watching the members take their sit to realize a few of them were not in attendance.“Why is the room not filled up with the council members?” I asked.“Luna. Many of these people thinks it is unfair that you have to sit on the throne, while the Alpha is sick at the moment.” Maverick, the youngest council member revealed.“Is that what they think of my position?” I asked in disbelief. “I will like this council to understand that as the wife of the Alpha, I am in charge. No one dares challenge me!”“You have nothing to worry about Luna. The people that are not in attendance today will be removed from the table eventually…” Jeremy opened up and a smile graced his lips afterwards.I tried to hide away my smile because of the people around us.As the meeting was about to begin, the door opens and the pack seer steps into the room. MAYA'S POVThree days since my encounter with my Lycan mates and I could not be less grateful. Settling in a new environment is bound to take a whole lot of time, but I am adapting quickly.“My father has suggested that we meet with him after the meeting.” My thoughts vanished the moment Jenkins spoke, causing me to look at him.“Do you think he is going to like me?” I asked, worry filling up my face.“My father has no choice Maya, we are mates and that is all that matters.” He replied, raising up from the bed and holding my hands while we locked eyes with each other. “You don’t have anything to worry about, I know my father may have his own share of problems, but I am sure that we will be fine.”“Where are the rest?” I asked.“All that matters is that I am here now.” As we continued to share our intimate moment, I knew the rest of my mates will not be happy seeing Jenkins this close to me.There is a loud knock on the door, causing the both of us to break away from the moment of int
