The Merger

I walked Zoe out of the penthouse and left everyone to ponder the information they had just received about the Lycan Alpha. We took the elevator and it seemed faster this time, which was either weird or it was just in my head.

The elevator made a sharp sound when it came to a stop and the doors opened. We walked out and through the lobby. I glanced at the TV that was on the wall and there was a news reporter talking about the verdict that Zayn and the members of the council came up with.

“I guess that means I better hurry and get the information about the verdict back home before the wind blows it there before me,” Zoe said, and we chuckled.

When we got out of the building, I did not follow her to the border. I helped her get a chariot that was willing to drive her to the border at a fair price. I could see that she was happy about the merger and excited to pass the news but also a bit sad because of the Lycan.
