Gone, Gone, Gone

I released a sigh of relief when I saw the Lycan’s mansion. I had been walking for the past ten minutes and I was so glad that I was finally there.

After talking to the vampire king, I tried to wrap my head around what happened and why it happened but I was just left with more questions.

He made it clear why he chose me to be the messenger of his message: because people listen to me. But that was not enough. I was still confused about a few things.

Especially the question that had to deal with why Jacob was obsessed about me stopping the merger. I had a feeling that he had some kind of ulterior motive.

“Name, and who you’re here to see?” The guard at the gate asked me, and I pursed my lips.

“My name’s Lara Zane and I’m here to see the Lycan.”

The guard smiled disappointingly. “I’m sorry, but the Lycan Alpha is not accepting visitors right now.”
