Getting caught.

Getting caught can be a stressful and overwhelming experience. But I knew that there were a few things that we could do to ease the situation. Or at least me.

First, we had to stay calm and composed. Alex was only assuming based on his suspicions, he did not know sh*t. There was still a way to turn this around. I knew we had to focus on the facts and not let our emotions take over.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t think any of us do. Are you saying that that’s not the car you and your wife got Liam?” I asked calmly.

Alex scoffed. “Oh, don’t do that.” He shook his head. “You should be the last person doing that to me, Lara.”

“Doing what?” I kept my eyes on him and kept my composure also.

“That! Don’t treat me like I’m stupid or like I’m some kid!” He snapped, and everyone was taken aback. “I marked Liam’s car, and I am telling you, the one sitting out there is not his. Why would he get a new car identical to his previous one and pretend like it’s t
