Bonus Chapter~ 23

My face was pale and my throat was dry. I could feel the rapid beating of my heart and nervousness ate me up.

Zayn and I were heading to the mansion next door, which was Liam’s house. I could hear sirens and the day was not as cold as yesterday. The sun was up and emitted warmth.

When we reached the house, a few officers stopped us at the gate. Both of them had hard looks on their faces. “I’m sorry but no one is allowed to enter. There is an ongoing investigation and officers are at work inside the compound.”

“Take a good look at us,” Zayn said in a monotone. His face was straight and he looked bored.

The officers shared a look after realizing who we were and then allowed us to enter the compound. Zayn held my hand as a way to keep me calm and I couldn't be more grateful.
