I started the cleaning, not because I wanted to but because I dare not stay back.

I should be thankful she didn’t set her hands on me this time around. But would it have been better than having a huge area to clean, for hours?

Additionally, it’s dusty. I wonder what section of the building this is.

I’m sure it’s been left unused for a long time now.

The clock ticked for the third time, and I made a mental note to myself I’ve been cleaning now for the past three hours.

I was pregnant and for goodness sake, I could use some help but none of the passerbys are willing to lend a hand.

That’s how cruel people can be and I don’t blame them. Who wants to get involved in someone else’s mess?

As I continued to sweep and dust, my back ached and my feet throbbed. Pregnancy wasn't supposed to be this exhausting was it?. I glanced around, hoping someone would take pity on me, but the passersby avoided eye contact.
