Little Sapphire pushed the thick bushes out of the way and crawled under. A few thorns pricked her and the stony ground hurt her knees, but she didn't give up. She looked around but she couldn't find her pet bunny. Her mother got her a little pinkish-white bunny with a magenta heart gem on her forehead and pretty pink eyes. She wasn't an ordinary bunny, of course. Her mother told her she'd get to know what kind of bunny she is when the gem on her forehead takes its final colour. Sapphire had been taking care of the bunny for six months. Just three more months before she transforms.

Because according to the pawn shop owner, there are a total of two necklaces. I startle when Steven squeezes my hand, a sharp pain spreading. I gritted my teeth to endure. It looks like Steven is very nervous. His expression changed as soon as he saw the Blue Ocean. He stared at the necklace without taking his eyes off it; his eyes told me that he must have this necklace. "Steven, do you like this necklace?" I inquired. "Um, it's crucial and meaningful to me. I will explain this to you later." Steven turns to look at me; I can feel a sense of sadness in his eyes. I smiled and said briefly, "OK. Hopefully, it will be yours."

It's adorned with delicate silver links, and its centerpiece glimmers with a sparkling sapphire, which happens to be Stevie's birthstone. I recall how Stevie was anxious about our final exams, and I suggested she wear this bracelet for good luck. Surprisingly, it seemed to work like a charm as she aced nearly all of her exams.
