 “Y.. yes Alpha,” Laura stutters, hand trembling and lips quivering in fear. His hands reached out, his claws started to elongate, his back slouching bit by bit as if Max, his wolf, was preparing to take control. Laura’s silent sobbing and red-rimmed eyes stirred an inner sentiment halting him from moving forward.  He took a few deep breaths trying to regain composure, “Get out of the Alpha floor, NOW! From now on, you are not allowed to come here. I will talk to your brother about the change of accommodation. You are to move out of the packhouse.” “But…….”  “I said LEAVE!” his growl shook the walls of the room. 

Nathaniel was startled by their sudden arrival. He took a few steps backward while scanning the approaching rogues. He tried to filter the conversation in his mind link. He can’t afford to get distracted, not now.  Before he could figure out what was happening, two rogues in the middle of the formation stepped sideways, paving the way for a huge unshifted one wearing a black mask and a black fitted sleeveless hoodie. He wore black rubber gloves, leaving his tattooed biceps on display. His arms were folded across his chest, muscles screaming through his shirt.  His muscular form, broad shoulders, and V-shaped torso will not be mistaken for anything softer than a brick wall. His face was set in a hard line. The pockets of his black cargo pants are slightly bulked. His eyes, as dark as night, looked fierce and dangerous.  

 Being a former commander of the elite warriors, Nico knows a lot about pack politics in the region and has met most of the pack leaders except for the packs where future leaders have been changed and transitioned in the past three years.  Shortly after, they start talking about recent events in neighboring territories and Sebastian slowly confides to Nico about his removal from the position of Alpha of the Silver Mountain Pack and his failed mate bond.  Agatha sat in silence as she listened to their conversation attentively. Now she is aware of the identities of her two alpha mates. But the more she hears about them, the more convinced she becomes to reject them, especially Nathaniel who seems to disrespect their bond. This is exactly the kind of trouble they are trying to prevent.  

Dr. Tim ordered the hospital staff to move Nathan back to his VIP room and reattach the wires to monitor his condition. Nick instructed the doctor to perform various blood tests, MRI, ECG, and CT scans to make sure that the silver and wolfsbane were completely out of his system with no complications or internal damage. He also assigned two of his best warriors to guard the door of the Alpha’s room. Dr. Tim promised not to allow any medical staff to enter Nathan’s room without his instructions. Only Nick and Dr. Tim can come visit the Alpha. Now that the former alpha is dead, they must ensure Nathan’s fast recovery. Nick suggested that Luna Elaine should get involved in the preparation for the former Alpha’s funeral and also focus on the pack matters while Nathan is recovering, and she agreed easily.  Nath

 It was nine in the morning when I opened my eyes the following morning. There’s a post-it note from Aleck on my bedside table. He wants to throw a welcome party for me. I don’t think that’s a good idea though. I rushed to the bathroom for a quick shower.
