Something hit my stomach, sending a searing pain shooting through me. I stood there in shock, my hands slowly coming up to my stomach. I looked down, and my white shirt slowly turned red. The sound of Pearl running to me as she cried out my name rang through my ears. Pulling my blood-soaked hands up, I stared at them in a state of shock. I drove all night, and as the sun started to rise, I came into a city called black water. I decided this was where I would stop, a fresh start to be whoever I wanted to be.
