Nora’s POV"Nora, open up; we need to talk!” Michael knocked on my door.Silence.“I know you are in there,” he said.“I can see your light on,” he said. Now I have been caught. I closed my eyes and stood up."Wait, I am coming; I am not decent!” I yelled back. I dragged a robe and dashed to the door. I took deep breaths up to three times before I opened the door.“I was in the shower,” I lied. Michael‘s eyes went straight to my hair. He caught me. He didn’t say it, though, and I was grateful for that. I didn’t know what to say to prove my innocence.We stood for like something more than a minute, staring at each other before I spoke. That is the longest I managed to hold eye contact with him.“You are here,” I said, looking away as I let out a breath. Michael always made my heart race when he was close by."Yes, I am,” he said in a low voice. “Won’t you let me in?”"Oh, please, come in.” I moved aside. Michael walked in, and his cologne filled my nostrils. It was woody and masculine.
