Lucas’s Pov As I observed Bella I knew that it worked. She knew how to function properly and knew who I was even without any of her past memories so that meant that everything that I had imbedded into her mind was stuck. I didn’t know for how long it would stay like this for but from the looks of it It wouldn’t be long since Robert couldn’t get ahold on Monica. The anger in Roberts eyes told me that he realized the same thing. It hadn’t even been a day and his sister was causing problems because of her jealousy. “I want to go to the fundraiser too.” Monica complained from the side. Bella’s Pov A soft sigh left me as I watched as Lucas talked on the phone as he wrote down whatever was being said to him. He had been on the phone for awhile now and I couldn’t help but groan internally. He stared down at the notepad as his brows furrowed because of whatever was said to him. Had it been someone else’s phone I would’ve probably been able hear what the person on the phone was saying since I had become accustomed to listening in when the maids made calls for me. Unfortunately his phone seemed to not go far as the maids. “Mhm, I understand but I will be out of the office for the next two weeks.” He stated as he wrote something else down. I leaned forward and looked at whatever he had wrote not really understanding the numbers and random letters. I could only assume they were either time or places. A loud ticking noise had me looked over with furrowed brows. Multiple ticking sounds had me scowling as I look at the little trinket that seemed to actually be a clock.

Bella’s Pov “Why didn’t you wake me up?” I mumbled as I stared out of the jet window in awe. I had never seen anything as beautiful as everything that I was looking at right now. The vibrant green grass that looked like it stretched far away was mesmerizing and what looked like a river that was off to the side had me pushing my face more into the window. “You should’ve waked me.” I continued as I watched us fly over the river. “We didn’t want to disturb your slumber.” Danny stated in a clipped tone. I pursed my lips as reluctantly I looked over at him and the doctor. “I thought I fired you this morning?” I asked in instantly. Either I fired Dr. Hickory in my mind or he assumed that I wouldn’t speak to Lucas about getting a better doctor. I reached into my pocket and stiffened at the empty contents. Bella’s Pov A small smile formed as I climbed out of the car. “It’s beautiful.” I whispered as I looked at the huge beach resort that we would be staying at for the next two weeks. The resort was bigger than any building I had ever seen before. It was like 10 times as long as our company. The pearly white and black trimming of the building almost seemed out of place if not for the clouds and the mountain that were in the distance. “How is there snow on that mountain but not here?” I asked. I furrowed my brows and looked at the mountain that clearly had a lot of snow on it. I looked up at the sky and stared at all the blue that should’ve had at least a few clouds blocking it. I didn’t have to look behind me to know that the sky was clear above the ocean. The beach was what I paid attention to as we drove down the curvy road that lead the the resort.
