D E L I L A H I walked into my apartment with a tired sigh. Melissa looked up from the TV, just as she was about to shove a Pringle into her mouth, looking caught off guard. It was her day off today, so she had the house all to herself. “Well, I definitely wasn't expecting you home this soon.” She said, sitting up. “Where's Kian?” I asked, looking around, dropping my handbag on the table as I sat on the couch opposite her. “At school durh, have you forgotten?” She asked, rolling her eyes. When she noticed my still sullen mood, she stood up and approached me. “From your expression, you didn't get the job? It's not the end of the world, you know that right? There are thousands of companies eagerly waiting to hire you if they get the chance.” Trust Melissa to always make me feel better and boost my self esteem. “Actually, I got the job.” I said with a sigh, rubbing my head in frustration.
