Kate POV            Waking up this morning alone was disappointing, but I appreciated Drake’s discretion.  Stretching in bed, I had a delicious ache between my legs.  Feeling myself go red, I smiled at what we had done last night.  I had no regrets and was looking forward to when we could do it again.            Looking at the clock, I cringe.  It’s almost time for my meeting with my father.  I am expected to give him my decision as to whether I will be the negotiator or not.  He already knows my decision; I never turn back from a challenge, and this would definitely be a challenge.  And I like to win. Kate POV            Groaning, I awaken to another punch to the abdomen, then another slap across the face. A couple broken ribs, a broken ankle that was almost healed, cuts to her abdomen, missing flesh that was starting to close on her body, the worst was on her shoulder. Shelby was breathing heavily from the exertion and the pain. I was offering soothing words, but her body needed to heal.
