“Did we find at lease one Bandit?” I asked shoving my sword into the ground. I pulled my gloves off my hand, rubbing the numb feeling from having gripped so tightly for so long. We had fought for so long that I thought it would never end. So many of our men and theirs laid strewn across the ground like a tornado had ripped through. Blood filled the air, tainting the once beautiful field just outside the wall. It was once a home to a family of farmers, but in its wake was a shattered house, hopes, and dreams.
