"That dress looks good in you," his deep voice uttered.

I could see Desmond's reflection from here. He's observing me, lying on my bed with his both arms pillowed his head, together with a playful smirk lingered on his face.

My whole face was still painted with embarrassment and I flushed even more with his sudden compliment.

I cleared my throat. "Thanks."

A part of me wants to puke. Seriously? 'Thanks?!' Oh, fvck. I can't even figure out if he really mean it, or he's just being sarcastic!

I blinked. "What are you doing here, anyway?" I asked, changing the topic. "Nevermind that question. I know Dad sent you here." I fake a laughed and got choked with my own saliva. I awkwardly cleared my throat once again.

"He didn't." He shook his head. "I went here with my o

Madilim na ang gabi. Walang hirap akong bumaba mula sa balkonahe ng aking kwarto samantalang nasa taas pa rin si Desmond mukhang tulala."What now?" I hissed. "They might caught us. Hurry up!" I gestured my hand and it make him snap back to his consciousness. "You aren't spiderwoman, aren't you?" he asked, trying his best to whisper against his baritone voice.I looked at him in a boredom. "I've been doing these stuffs for years," I informed. He shook his head. "You could be a great robber someday," he commented and started taking his both feet down the terrace."No thanks," I murmured but not enough to reach his ears. Instead, I saw him took a huge gulp while staring at the ground. Pangatlong palapag lang din ang aking kwarto.I sighed and crossed my arms. I tapped my foot in impatience while waiting for him to fully reach the ground. Pero napatigil sa pag-hakbang pababa. "I'

"Can you act like a real lady? It’s all I’ll ask of you, just for this evening." Dad requested, that statement was surely for me.Annoyance and frustrations crept through my veins. I wince before I spoke back. "You're asking a lot of them."Ridiculous. Is he expecting me to twirl my hair, smile sweetly, and giggle a little like a stupid? When do he stop meddling how to live my life?"This is not just an ordinary gathering, Monique. We surely meet a ton of important personalities. Puwede bang h'wag mo munang pairalin ang katigasan ng ulo mo ngayon?" Kelly joined the conversation. She really know how to annoy me more just by using my first name.I looked at her boredly. "Bakit naman kita susundin, sino ka ba?"Ramdam na ramdam ko ang masamang tingin nilang dalawa sa 'kin. Napasulyap ako sa rear mirror at nakita kong napa-iling si Dad.

I went to the bar section to get something to drink. The host lately announced to open the dance floor. Now I can see couples dancing along the ballroom music. I just laugh inside my head. Natatakot s'yang makita nila kung gaano kalakas uminom ang magaling n'yang anak?Don't worry, Dad. Wala akong balak maglasing ngayon, not this time, not in this kind of clothes, not in this kind of footwear. My wavy hair even fell down to my shoulder, and I'm extremely not comfortable. I should bring my hair string. It also sucks how people giving me strange look as I passed near them.I can see Desmond walk towards my direction but I ignored him. I just asked the bartender for another drink and gazed back to the dance floor. "Here ma'am."I took the cocktail and gulp of it."Lakas mo naman uminom," a baritone voice spoke behind me

"Mukha ka nang diablo," Agustin commented with a thick Bisaya accent. He sat infront of me.I won't be shock if I'd seen him here. We're on the same gang. We're here on the very corner table of Bar To Lome, a bar owned by our gang's mastermind, Daryll. The bar was full of colorful, neon lights and drunk people who are making out on the different corners. My mind flew to yesterday night. I'm a living disappointment of the family, I already know it, and I claimed it. It means that I don't need to be nice anymore.I woke up at 4PM lately and took a bath. I successfully went to school at 5PM without facing an argument with him. I entered and walked on our school's corridor, peacefully, it didn't last long, my major subject professors informed me that I failed our final exam.Life i

My sense awakened with a heavy headache. I groaned and severely shut my eyes. I will never, ever drink vodka again. My eyes automatically wide open as I recognized the tough scent of the bed I am lying. I'm not in my own room. I jumped out of bed. Where am I? What place is this?!I looked at the table behind me and saw a plate sunny side-up, rice and bacons, with a hot cup, smoking beside it.I tried to recall what happened last night, but I only can remember I was with Agustin. No, this can't be happening. I should only wake up the bar's table, not here! I'm stupid! The bed, it smells like Desmond! I raised my head and found him, wearing his usual smirk that I makes me want to get the rid of it.

We flew and landed on our island resort in Batanes. Our private wedding will be held in this morning. Remembering the conversation between me and my Dad yesterday, I left no choice. "Don't you dare mess things up again," he warned me. "I didn't signed the contract!" I argued. "I was drunk that time and--" "Whether you signed it or not, you soon will get married! We already settled this marriage since you were on your diapers, Molly. No one can change that, even you!" He pointed his finger on me. I shook my head and gritted my teeth. "Marry Desmond or I'll send you to Italia again! Mark my words!" Italia, is the place where my conservative grandparents live. I tried to joined one on one street fight before and got caught by the police. Then, he quickly sent me there. T

I stormed out and pulled Jairus away from the room. He almost turn his neck one hundred eighty degrees by looking back."What was that?! Bakit nandito ang gagong 'yon?""You're with you chopper or yatch? I want to get out of here," I spoke, ignoring his remarks. Desmond always ruining my day, screw him. My other fist is shaking in anger."Did you slept with him?! He even slept with my cousin for pete's sake!" Jairus sequels.I entered the elevator as he followed me. I press the button three as we goes up. I need to get my things first before I leave.I wanted to knock Jairus' face too. "He slept various of women, not just your cousin. I already know that, dumbass..." I hissed. "...and idiot, I didn't slept with him. We slept in the same bed but it's not what you think.""How the fvck was that happened?!""His Mom locked us in the same room.""Fvck that Mom! Fvck that magazine man!" Why is he shouting behind my ear?

  • When Don'ts Became Do's   CHAPTER 7

I hate everything about him. Everything! His smell, his smirk, his voice, his tone, his face, his words, the arrogance. Seeing him makes me want to bury him alive in the backyard. Imagining him sitting comfortably in the living room while smirking at me makes me want to choke and drown him in the pool to death. The thought of him looking at me maniacally makes me want shoot him 263 times. I should steal some shotgun from Jairus sometimes incase of emergency. But why would I look for other weapon if I already have two hands to form a fist and two legs to kick his nuts? I never thought I've loathed him more than I hated him before. He's worse than I expected. It's been weeks passed as I moved a house with the bastard. Just like what I used to, I return home late and making sure that no any shades of him or else there will be a world war three. I regretted it. I shouldn't move to the house and live with him. It irritates the hell out of me.

Living here in Italia brought me into a great adjustment again. Everyone was treating me like a crappy princess. I have to stay here inside this fvcking mansion where maids and butlers are everywhere, and go with stupid bodyguards if I'll be going outdoors.I hate it, but must to bare with it. I have to bare with these stupid closet of dresses and girly pairs of shoe that grandma brought for me. They're fvcking conservative, protective, and above all, dramatic. But in the midst adjusting, I found myself taking my old stuffs away. I forgot what alcohol tasted like. I forgot the noise of clubs sounds like, and so as the scent of cigarettes enters my nostrils. I am now preferred staying my room, reading books, and scroll on social media--things I lately called as stupidly, girly stuffs. I know, it's bullshit. But I getting used to it.

We went back to our usual quiet state. No one is dared to talks, nor start a conversation. I can sense how speed he drive is, it was different from its usual rate. It was all sign of madness. His eyebrows didn't also separated away from each other, since we departed that place. It confused me. He should be thankful for I'll be going away from him, right? Because I am complicated and stubborn. I'm a huge pain in the ass. I let out a heavy sigh.I assumed he will assist me, just like what he did on the hospital. But I was wrong.

We silently drove along the city's highway. I am right behind him in the passenger seat while his eyes focused on the road. He's driving. I throw him glance sometimes, and I'm afraid he might notice it.We were heading towards the hospital, just like what he have said last night. That's why I quickly prepared myself as I woke up, and no, I am not excited. Really. I turned my gaze back in the side mirror and felt a sudden suspense as I saw the same, white Mustang after us. It sounds following us since earlier.I may be too paranoid, so I shrugged that thought off and focused my gaze to other direction. We reached the hospital and he helped me out of the car. I wandered my eyes in the surroundings, searching for the Mustang who was following us. "Is there something bothering you?" Desmond asked from my behind.I can no longer see any signs of the suspicious car, so I sigh in relief. "No, nothing. Let's go--oh, fvc

It was exactly midnight as I went back home.My whole body was in sore. My left leg, there was a cloth attached to it to stop the blood from flowing, and have fractured knee.I had also tons of small cuts in my arms, a single cut on my neck. My right palm had the long but not so deep cut due to clutching those two-sided blade weapon earlier. And the rest are bruises.Good thing is, I can still drive home, and I am still alive. The high-pitched, turquoise-headed bitch is also breathing before I left her lying in the ring.I reached my destination. I could see the guard opens the gate as I enters and proceed to the garage. The cold breeze of midnight air touches my skin as I open the car's door. I winced in a great pain. I could feel the sore in my left leg as I finally moved out of the car.The other guard suddenly appeared in front of me. "Ma'am, anong nangyari? Bakit ang dami mong--patay...""Where is Desmond?

I hit forty-three mph with my usual Audi as I passed a few buildings and billboards.I'm on my way now to school. I was listening some of The Beatles playlist in my bluetooth speaker, while fingers are tapping together with the beat of the music with my both hands' on a grip on my steering wheel. The music suddenly went off and replaced the sound of my phone ringing. I slowed down the car to reached the phone with my right hand.I frowned as I saw what's on my screen."'Yung utang mo," salubong ko nang masagot ko ang tawag at malagay telepono sa aking tenga."Aguy Mol, wala na bang mas pangit na bungad d'yan?" Agustin's ironinically replied with his thick bisaya accent.I surpass a bit chuckle. "What do you want? Sa lahat-lahat ng mga ginawa mo sa 'kin, gusto... gusto rin kitang pahirapan. Hanggang sa nagkwento ka, hanggang sa nakonsensya ako. I shouldn't have brought you here.
