CHAPTER 3

“Logan, would you want to join us in hunting?” a werewolfess said to Logan. She has pair of glowing dreamy yellow eyes along with thick grey fur and black sharp claws. Logan shakes her head as a sign of disagreement.

“Aww. You’re our Alpha. You need to teach those young werewolves and werewolfess in hunting,” Nemesis said then turned into a body of human. She has a curvy body type with a skin tone of pale ivory. She has a short straight grey hair and a diamond shape of her face. Her eyes turned into a grey ash when she became a human along with button nose, thick rosy lips and a low-rounded thick black eyebrow.

Unti unti syang lumapit kay Logan at hinawakan ang kanyang pulsuhan. She was trying to flirt with him, but she won’t succeed. He already committed himself with his mate. When he mentioned her, he felt a burning sensation in his soul as if someone was setting a fire in his body. Hindi sya mapakali at parang umiinit ang kanyang buong katawan na maaring may iisang dahilan. She was near. She was fucking here.

Agad niyang iwinaksi ang kamay ni Nemesis at tumakbo palayo. He turned into a werewolf and followed the smell of an oriental fragrance. A warm, sweet and a little bit spicy smell coming from somewhere. He knew who it was. Matagal nya nang hinahanap ang presensya at amoy nito. Finally, she was here. His baby was here.

Tumakbo sya nang mabilis upang habulin at puntahan ang amoy na iyon na matagal na niyang hinahanap hanap. He run into the wild passing the gigantic and gnarled green trees and cold-blooded amphibious wild animals. The foul and moist air dripping on his thick fur creating a warmth sensation in his heart. He badly wanted to see her again. He misses her soft and delicate pats in his fur along with her cute and charming smile. He can feel his deep and shallow breathe from running fast along with excitement and eagerness to saw her.

Agad syang napatigil nang marinig ang mga yapak ng isang taong tumatakbo nang kay bilis. The withered leaves and thin branches breaking into pieces due to running fast of someone without wearing any footwear. He can smell the pungent odour of blood from her. His heart filled with rage as if he was ready to kill someone from hurting his mate. A shadow of a woman passed on the gigantic tree nearby. This woman was full of bruises and injuries all over her body. Her dress was torn apart by some immoral hand. She was crying silently yet she was smiling.

Napatulala si Logan sa babaeng nasa harap nya. His heart was beating so fast, not from running, but because of her, his beloved angel. He looked at her gorgeous face behind an ancestral tress far away from her. He can see here properly even though she was a kilometre away from him. She was so fucking beautiful. Her long and wavy hair dancing along with air made her a goddess of the woods. Her dreamy green eyes were full of pain and hope. She was crying and her tears were falling on her rosy cheeks and thin pale lips. Her perfect body suited to her along with soft porcelain skin tone. God, his baby was such a goddess.

He watched her above the huge trees. Hindi nya mawari kung ano ang nararamdaman nito. His heart ached in pain to every drop of tears in her eyes. The only thing he wanted to do right now was to wrap his arms around her small waist and hugger her tightly to make her feel that she was already safe and he would protect her. But he can’t. Hindi pa sa ngayon. Hindi nya alam kung matatanggap nya ang isang katulad nyang werewolf. He can’t face her. A werewolf like him doesn’t deserve a human goddess like her. Ang tanging magagawa nya lamang sa ngayon ay ang tingnan sya mula sa malayo. He can feel her strong presence and emotion from his place. He knew she was delighted since she was already freed from hell.

Nakaramdam sya ng kakaiba nang may narinig sya mula sa malayo. There’s someone in the woods except from them. He can smell someone far away from him but near to his mate. He immediately run towards his mate since he senses a danger near to her. He was almost there when he saw a sharp broken branch near to her and she was almost falling to it. He instantly run toward her to save her.

A young man wearing a black dress shirt and black slacks along with shiny brown oxford shoes stepped on the filthy and disgusting secluded place. He ran his hand to his soft black hair and close the door of his car. He creased his forehead and tightened his perfect squared jaw to the place he was looking at. He buttoned his suit and walked through the door consists of delinquent people with tattoo and filthy smell. They instantly bowed to his presence and opened the rust metal door.

Napatigil sya nang makita ang lugar na kanyang pinasukan. Maraming nagiinuman at nagsisigawan habang naglalaro ng baraha. Hindi rin mawawala ang mga taong hayok sa laman at nagaadik sa may dulo. Lalong umigting ang kanyang panga sa lugar na ito. He can’t imagine that someone like her lived in this shitty place. He needs to get her out of this place with that fucking deal. He wanted to get rid of those people who hurt her, but he can’t. The deal they’ve talked about was the only way unless he wanted to walk against his father will.

Didiretso na sana sya sa opisina ng may ari ng lugar na ito ngunit napatigil sya nang may marinig syang kakaiba sa may madilim na lugar sa likod ng basurahan. Naningkit ang kanyang mata nang makarinig nang sigawan at hampasan sa lugar na iyan. Nakaramdam agad sya ng kaba nang maalala nya kung gaano ka walanghiya ang tito nito.

He run fast right away towards the loud sound of smashed and screamed. He was already in front of the metal door when he heard a loud scream from a girl. Nakaramdam sya ng takot at galit nang marinig iyon. He gritted his teeth tightly from anger when a scene came in his mind. A wicked man hurting her beloved woman. He breathes deeply along with his raging soul. He kicked the metal door hardly and it opened.

Naabutan nya ang eksenang nagpabaliktad ng kanyang sikmura at nagpatindi ng kanyang galit. Nanlaki ang kanyang mata nang makitang nakahandusay ang isang babae at duguan ito. His blood rose from furious and punched the wicked guy hardly. The immoral guy hit into the thick wall and loss his subconsciousness.

Agad na nilapitan ng lalake ang nakahandusay na babae. Tiningnan nya ito nang mabuti at nakahinga nang maluwag nang makitang hindi ito ang babaeng hinahanap nya.Sinuri nya ang paligid at napupuno ito ng dugo at dumi sa kadahilanang hindi ito nalilinis. Mayroon din syang nakitang isang luma at kinakalawang na chain na may mga dugo. Inilibot nya ang mata nya sa lugar at wala dito ang babaeng hinahanap nya.

“ T-tulungan mo si Xab..” the nurse said. Napalingon sya nang makita ang babaeng nakahandusay na nakasuot ng uniporme ng hospital. He instantly grabbed her shoulder when he heard Xabrina’s name.

“Where is she? Where the fuck is she?! “Nathan said. He shrugged the shoulder of the bleeding nurse.She has a huge injuries on her forehead and its bleeding. It was from the hit of the bat he saw in the floor. She also hit by a lot of punches on her stomach and face. She was almost losing her breathe. Yet, the cold guy doesn’t care unless she was Xabrina.

“ S-She ran away,” she said then she loses her senses. Tiningnan nito ang pulsuhan nito ang at nalamang wala na itong buhay. Iniwan nya lamang itong nakahandusay sa sahig at agad na tumakbo palabas sa nakabukas na pinto sa may dulo. Tumambad sa kanya ang naglalakihang puno at malamig na hangin kasabay ng mga huni ng ibon. He directly ran in to the wood without knowing that there’s a beast waiting for its prey.

Xabrina was running so fast and far away from the place when she heard a loud howl. The same howl she heard before when she almost jumped in the window. Nilibot nya ang kanyang paningin sa paligid upang hanapin ang tunog na iyon. The falling dried leaves and swiftness of the trees waving at her sight made her felt warmth along with the soothing voice of the howl.

Napatingin sya sa may isang malaking puno na may naglalakihang ugat nang may nakita syang tumatakbo ng mabilis. Sasalubungin nya sana ito nang makaramdam sya ng sakit sa kanyang talampakan dulot ng isang naputol na kahoy na tumusok sa kanyang paa. She squirmed in pain, yet she continued to move slowly. However, her body can’t take it anymore and almost fell on her knees. Dagdagan pa ng mga nangyari sa kanya kanina at pag aalala kay Nurse Klara. Her heart covered with fear when she remembered Klara. She wanted to go back and helped her, but she can’t. Malapit na nyang makamit ang kalayaang hinahanap nya. Ngunit, hindi nya namalayang ang isang nakaumbok na bagay at natapilok sya dito.

She almost fell on the pointed and sharped broken branch when someone grabbed her waist to stopped her from falling. Someone saved her. The pair of red dazzling eyes looked at her and within her aching soul. Her heart beats so fast. She can hear her own heart and she was conscious if the owner of those eyes can also hear it. The arms wrapped around her waist softly massaged her waist as if it’s a sign that everything will be fine as long as she was with him. A single teardrop left in her gloomy eyes when she felt sudden warmth in its arms wrapped in her waists. Those eyes seem familiar, but she can’t remember when she saw it.

It looks like she was glued from the attractive eyes of Logan in front of her. He has a look of everyone would drool on. He has a perfect muscular body type with a beige skin tone that was perfect combined with his squared jawline and kissable rosy lips. A split of soft black hair dripping a cold sweat on her forehead. Parang tumigil ang kanyang mundo sa eksenang nangyari sa kanila.

She was holding tightly to his biceps and doesn’t want to let go. Hindi nya na alam ang ginagawa nya at inilapat nito ang labi niya sa mapupulang labi ng lalake. She was attracted to the soft and kissable of lips of him and the way he looked at her. Xabrina thought that the guy won’t respond but he started moving his lips. They kissed senselessly while their heart was beating fast along with intimacy in their body. They shared their first kiss in the magnificent forest witnessing their vowed feelings to each other.

“Xabrina! Xabrina! “Nathan kept on shouting her name but she can’t find her. Ilang beses na syang paikot paikot sa lugar na iyon ngunit hindi nya makita si Xabrina. Napasabunot na lamang sya sa kanyang sariling buhok.

“Fuck, this is so frustrating,”Nathan whispered in frustration. The huge ancestral trees kept on blocking his view. The magical sound of the lonely tree kept on making him frustrated because he can’t hear her.

He ran towards the secluded part of the forest when he found a broken twig with blood on it along with the foot tracks in the wet soil. Nabuhayan sya ng loob nang makita ito ibig sabihin ay malapit lapit lang sya sa lugar na ito.

“Xabrina! Where are you?” he shouted out of his lungs. His voice echo through the forest but still no one answered. Patuloy pa rin sya sa paglalakad sa liblib na lugar na iyon nang may nakita syang isang anino malapit. An arrow pierced his heart when he saw her with someone else. The arrow pierced through his soul while he saw her with an unknown person yet she already trusted him. She was full of bruises and in pain, yet she was smiling while kissing him. They were kissing passionately as if they were the only person in the world.

Jealousy run through his blood in the scene in front of him. He badly wants to punched the guy until he bleeds. But he can’t because she seems so happy after the torture and torment she received. She was finally smiling genuinely after he saw her crying every day in pain.

He was busy reading the monthly report of their company when his phone rang. He answered it without looking at the number.

“Hey, Mr. Vil Real,”a man said mockingly. Agad syang nakaramdam ng galit nang marinig nya ang tinig ng lalaking ito.

“What do you want?” he asked. He gritted his teeth from anger and crumpled the paper in his desk

“Kailan mo kami babayaran ha? Baka nakakalimutan mo na yung deal natin,” her Uncle asked playfully. Umigting ang kanyang panga nang maalala nya ang kanilang usapan.

“Tomorrow. I’ll bring it to you. 50 million. Is it enough?” he said monotonously even though he wanted to killed this guy in the call.

“Good. Wag kang mag alala. Nasa mabuting kalagayan ang babaeng to. I have picture of her right now,you wanna see it? She looked so fucking hot,” her uncle laughed mockingly. Kumuyom ang kamao ni Nathan sa galit. Fuck, this guy. Kapag may nangyaring masama kay Xabrina, he would definitely torture this guy.

“Sent it then,” he said and end the call. Agad na may nagpop up sa email nito kasama ang picture ni Xabrina. Nanginginig sya sa galit nang buksan ang larawang iyon. He almost wrecked his table when he saw her sleeping in cold floor without any comforters and she was chained in the wall like a fucking slave. Her white dress turned into grey due to a lot of dust coming from the room. She has a lot of bruises in her face and legs along with blood.

Binato ni Nathan ang kanyang laptop sa sobrang galit dahil sa kanyang nakita. Damn it. He can’t believe it. She was tortured and abused but he didn’t do anything about it. It almost 2 years when her family died and for that whole fucking year, she was living like this. His blood boiled from anger. Napasuntok sya sa pader sa sobrang galit at nagsilaglagan ang mga paintings nakasabit dito. It shattered in to pieces along with his heart . His hand bleed from punching it but he didn’t mind it. Walang wala ito sa hirap na dinanas ni Xabrina sa kamay ng walang hiyang yon.

“Tomorrow, fucking tomorrow. I’ll save you from your nightmare, my Xabrina.”

Nathan was back in his senses when he saw Xabrina in Logan’s arms. Hindi nya namalayan na nasa mga bisig na niya sa Xabrina. He was mesmerized by her beauty when he felt someone glaring at him. Nagulat sya at nag igting ang kanyang panga nang makita ang taong kinasusuklaman nya sa harapan.

“Take care of her,” he said while glaring at Nathan. He was asking him but he looked so mad. Logan doesn’t have a choice but to trust his baby to Nathan. He knew he wouldn’t neglected Xabrina. 

“And, don’t you dare lay your filthy hand on my girl.” he ran away and turned into a werewolf without looking back.

“I should be the one who told you that, my twin.”
