CHAPTER 4

Xabrina woke up from her dreams with someone with a pair of dazzling red eyes. Their delectable lips sealed to one another as if they were hunger to each other’s presence. They were kissing passionately while his arms wrapped in her body like he was protecting her. The way their body collide with one another felt heaven for the both of them. She was hoping to feel that warmth again since that was the first time, she felt like that after a long fight for her life.

Unti unting binuksan ni Xabrina ang kanyang mga mata at bumungad sa kanya ang nakakasilaw na liwanag mula sa ilaw sa taas. Mukhang nasa hospital sya dahil sa mga kagamitang pang hospital sa paligid. Bigla nyang naalala si Nurse Klara at kung ano na ang nangyari dito. She silently prayed that she was safe and alive. She was thankful to her from saving her life from that evil monster. She was hoping that she managed to escape. Hindi nya mapapatawad ang kanyang sarili kung may nangyaring hindi maganda dito.

Biglang sumagi sa kanyang isipan ang mga eksena sa kanyang panaginip. Her blood risen causing her cheeks to blush when she remembered that she was the one who attempted to kiss him. She covered her face from shyness for doing the first kiss.

Napabalikwas sya nang tayo at agad nyang hinanap ang mga matang nakita nya. She knew it wasn’t a dream. It felt real. His soft lips sealed her pain away. The way he caressed her back to support her from falling. It seems unreal yet feels real. It looks like she was enchanted for a while by his presence.

Napatingin sya sa pintuan nang bigla itong bumukas. Unti unting nabuhayan ng pag asa si Xabrina at umaasang ang mga matang iyon ang makikita niya. Yet, her hope shattered in pieces when she saw someone look like him, but his eyes were different. Are they the same? Namalikmata nga lang ba sya sa kanyang nakita? Or panaginip lamang iyon?But she was a hundred percent sure that it was real. She massaged her head softly from confusion and pain.

Napatingin sya sa lalakeng umupo sa harap nya. May bahid nang pag aalala sa mga mata nito. He was wearing a plain blue long sleeve with button and one pocket. The sleeves were rolled up on her elbows and he looked like a decent man. But she was uncomfortable from its presence. She doesn’t know who he is, yet she managed to trusted and kissed a man in a freaking forest while she was running away. Oh yeah, she was still confused if that was a dream or real.

She almost freaked out when the guy caressed her cheeks. Agad nyang tinampal ang kamay nito at lumayo dito. Biglang bumalik ang mga alaala nya sa kanyang tito at tita. Just fucking one touched and all her fear and pain flow throughout her body. Nanginig sya sa takot at agad na tinakpan ang sarili gamit ang kumot. She was trembling in fear even though she managed to escape. The agony and misery were still there, and it create a huge slash in her soul and shattered it into pieces. Her only hope cannot be found. The guy with red eyes were already gone.

Nathan can really see that she was trembling in fear right now. Siguro naging trauma nya na ito dahil sa ginawa sakanya ng walang pusong uncle nya. His heart shattered in pieces on what happened to her. If he could just kill that motherfucker, gagawin nya ang lahat nang ginawa nito kay Xabrina. He would torture him to death until he wished to be killed.

Unti unti syang lumayo at nagbigay ng distansya sa kanilang dalawa. Napahinga na lamang si Nathan nang malalim nang makitang kumalma na sya. He realized that his presence was scaring her. He cursed himself in his mind. Dang it.

 “I won’t hurt you, Xab,” Nathan said calmly while trying to earn her trust. She creased her forehead from confusion when she heard her name.

“How the hell did you know my name? Who the fuck are you?!” she asked angrily.She covered herself as if she was protecting herself from Nathan. Her green eyes glare to him as if he did something wrong. She was fucking scared to Nathan, and it shattered the hopeless heart of him. Damn. His girl was scared to him.

Kumuyom ang kanyang kamao sa gigil sa taong gumawa nito sakanya. How can he do this to his own nephew, fuck him. Nathan sighed deeply and tried to avoid her green eyes judging his presence. Hindi nya kayang tumingin sa taong nasa harap nya. Lalabas na ata ang puso nya sa sobrang bilis ng tibok nito. She was making him nervous as fuck.

But still, hindi nya mapigilang sisihin ang sarili sa nangyari kay Xabrina. Sa ilang taong lumipas pagkatapos mangyari ang trahedya sa kanyang pamilya, pakiramdam ni Nathan ay sya ang may kasalanan lahat. He didn’t help her. Alam nya ang lahat pero wala syang ginawa kung hindi ang umiyak sa gilid. He hates himself from turning blind from what happened. That’s why he promised to himself that he would make her safe and never let go of her if he ever holds her hand just one time.

 “I uhm..” he stuttered. He scratches his head from nervous. He can feel that his blushing because of her presence. Even though she was trembling in fear, she still looked so pretty. They exchanged looked and Nathan was captivated by Xabrina’s green eyes. He almost hugged her abruptly when he snaps his mind out of it.

“What the fuck dimwit, pull yourself together,” he whispered to himself. He can’t believe himself. He need to get out of here but he can’t take away his eyes to her. He cleared his throat before speaking.

“Dito muna ako..hinihintay ko din yung doktor. Wag kang magalala, di ako lalapit at di kita hahawakan so don’t be... scared,” Nathan said while looking at her.  Tinitigan nya lamang ito sa mga mata  upang maramdaman nyang nagsasabi sya ng totoo pero mukhang ayaw nitong maniwala. Nanginginig pa rin si Xabrina sa takot at nakasiksik sa gilid ng higaan. Napaupo na lamang sya sa sofa at kinuha ang cellphone nito. Pasimple lang syang nagscroscroll at nagpipipindot ngunt hindi talaga sya mapakali. Hindi mapakali ang puso nito sa pagtibok nang kay bilis.He knew that Xabrina was looking at him. He glanced at her, at halos mapatalon na ito sa inuupuan nya nang makita nyang nakatingin ito nang matiim sa kanya.Shit, she was making him nervous as hell.He can’t breathe properly. He needs some fresh air.

 “Lalabas lang ako saglit. May bibilhin lang at babalik ako agad,” he said calmly even though his heart was raging. Dali dali syang lumabas at hindi na nya ito nilingon pa.He opened the door right away and run his palm to his hair.

“I was such a fucking gay. What the hell is happening to me?Dang it,” he said furiously. Napaupo na lang sya sa upuan at nag upos ng sigarilyo. Then, someone pulled out his cigarette to his mouth and stepped on it. He creased his forehead and almost punched that someone when he saw the dazzling red eyes in front him then it turns into grey ash to blend in with humans. Nathan chuckled. Unbelievable this guy.

“What are you doing here, beast?” Nathan asked him bluntly. Logan just smirked at him then he suddenly glared using his red eyes. He gritted his teeth and tightened his perfect squared jaw. He was fucking jealous to his twin, yet he can’t do anything about it because Xabrina was with him.

“You can’t scared me, idiot,” he said then looked back at him. Nathan fucking despise this beast in front of him. He was arrogant, worthless and selfish werewolf. Iniisip nya lamang ang kanyang sarili at hindi ang ibang taong nakapaligid sa kanya. He always thought that he was greater than him just because he has a supernatural power but for Nathan, his nothing like a wild beast.

“I’m not scaring you, Nathan. I’m warning you,” he said in a deep voice. His deep manly voice lingered to his soul as if he was choking it to death.

“Warning? What for? As if you can lay your hand to me,” Nathan said then smirked at his twin. Logan glared to his twin. If look could just kill, Nathan would probably dead any minute now.

Nagtitigan lamang ang kambal at kulang na lamang ay may kuryenteng dumadaloy sa kanilang mga mata. Magkamukha, magkadugo at iisa ng ina at ama pati rin sa pagmamahal. Iisang babae lamang ang nakahibag sa kanilang mga luhaang puso.

“Gosh, You’re so nice and sweet to me beast. I think I could kiss you right now with my.. own fist.” Nathan gritted his teeth in annoyance. He tried to annoy his twin, yet he didn’t flinched and still glaring at him.

Logan didn’t move and just glances at Nathan coldly. He turned his back at him then walked away.

“You better take care of her you dimwit, but don’t you dare touch her or lay a finger on her.” Logan looked at him with amusement. His red eyes glowed along with the light from above indicating that he’s fucking serious.

“Even if you’re my twin, I would gladly lay my claws at your neck,” Logan said. Hindi nagpatinag si Nathan sa sinabi nito at tinitigan lang sya nang masama. He knew that he can’t do about his brother yet for the sake of Xabrina, he would walk against the nature just to be with her.

“Whatever you say beast, I knew that you can’t kill me,” Nathan said while looking at him with despise.

“Don’t act like you own her because she will never be yours. I don’t fucking care if she’s your mate or whatever shit it is, I won’t allow you to have her, Logan, “ Nathan said.

“I don’t need your permission, Nathan. Just shut the fuck up and watch.” Logan threatened him.Then suddenly someone cleared a throat at his back.

“Pwede naba kitang makausap Mr. Vil Real?” A man in a middle age said wearing a white coat. He was the doctor of Xabrina. Lumingon sya bigla at nakita nya ang doktor na pinagkatiwalaan nya sa pag gagamot kay Xabrina

Nathan glances again towards Logan but he was already gone like his was not there earlier.

“Yes, Doc,” Nathan formally said.

“Follow me then, Mr. Vil Real.” The doctor walked to the office and Nathan followed him. Nathan knew that Logan was still here, and he was nervous if he was with Xabrina now. Yet, he also knew that Logan won’t move unless Xabrina recognized him, but she won’t. She would never be.

Nakapikit lamang si Logan at nakasandal sa pader habang pinakikinggan nang mabuti ang usapan ng doktor at ng kanyang kambal. She has a lot of damaged in her body but nothing serious in internal. She also doesn’t have any sign that she had an intercourse. Yet, the bruises and injuries in her body would take a few months to be totally healed. She also suffered from depression that caused her to attempted suicide.Her Uncle can be accused in physical abused and kidnapping.

Nakahinga sya nang maluwag ng marinig ang kalagayan ni Xabrina. He looked so calm outside, but his soul was furious and raging because of what happened to his mate. He wanted to punish him yet he can’t find him. Someone was helping her uncle and auntie. Whoever that piece of shit, he would punish them until they die.

Nakasandal na lamang sya sa pader at hindi maalis sa kanyang isipan ang mukha ng kanyang minamahal. He remembered what happened in the forest. Suddenly, he felt a burning flame in his whole body. Just thinking about their kiss, Logan’s soul was already flaming. He could still feel the soft and warm waist of her mate and how she held in his biceps to stop from falling. The way she made a contacted to his lips and kissed it passionately as if she was longing for his presence. He gulped deeply from what his thinking. He was already obsessed with her touch and present for just fucking one kiss.

“Baby..” bulong sa sarili at mabilis na naglakad papunta sa kwartong inuukupa ni Xabrina. Nang makarating sya ay sumandal sya sa hamba ng pintuan at tinitigan ang babaeng nagpapabilis ng tibok ng puso nya.He smiled at her even though she can see it.

“I’ll protect you from afar this time, baby.Just wait patiently then you’ll be fine with me,” sabmit ni Logan sa kanyang isipan. He badly wanted to hug her right now and kissed her forehead to make her feel that she would be alright. Hindi na nya hahayaan pang masaktan pa syang muli. He failed to protect her before but now, he wouldn’t. He would sacrifice everything in this world just to be with her. For the meantime, he prayed silently that she would be fine with his twin. He was the only person he fully trusts even though they were enemies.

Narinig nya ang mga yapak na papalapit sa kanyang pwesto at agad syang umalis at nagtago sa kadiliman.He glanced at his girl one last time then hide among the shadows. Nakita nya ang kanyang kambal na parang nalulunod sa iniisip. Pinagmasdan nya nang maigi ang gagawin ng kakambal nang biglang nakita nya ang mga luhang nag uunahang lumabas sa mga mata nito. He never thought that his twin would cry over a girl.. a girl that he also loves.

Logan smirked from his thought.

“We’re definitely twins.”

Nathan suddenly fell on his knees, but he managed to support himself with the wall. He was crying silently while his whole body were trembling in pain.

“I fucking love her, but she doesn’t deserve a man like me. Hindi ko man lang sya nagawang tulungan,” sambit ni Nathan. He was crying helplessly, and his brother was just watching him. Kahit pabulong lamang ito ay rinig na rinig na pa rin ito ni Logan. Napapikit na lamang sya sa sinabi ng kambal.

“He loves her huh.” mahinang natawa si Logan.

“My twin and I loving the same girl. Damn, this is gonna be a war.” he smirked playfully. Yes, they’re twin. They have the same blood flowing through their veins, but he would do anything to keep her girl for his own. If they need to kill each other, he would gladly do it.

Napatingin nalang si Logan sa kanyang kakambal nang naglakad ito papalayo hanggang sa tuluyan nya ng hindi nakita. Dahan dahan syang lumabas at pumunta sa harap ng pintuan at tinignan ang babaeng parehas nilang minamahal.

Logan sighs heavily and looks at Xabrina’s face. She was sleeping peacefully and looked so beautiful yet the two men waiting for her love were having a war.

“What spell did you use to make us fall in love with you, baby?” mahinang tanong ni Logan kay Xabrina. He knew that destiny was playing with them. Whatever happened, she would be wrapped around his arms. He would do anything just be deserving of her attention and love.

“I will own you, my mate. Just wait me.”
