Chapter 4

SEBASTIAN

“Alpha, your betrothed bride and Luna of North Pack is back” my Beta, announced to me the moment he barged into my bedroom. Earlier, he notified me of a true mind link about having important information for me. I never thought that it was because the woman who'd caused my pack to lose a huge deal had returned.

Elena Mayers, Daughter of Alpha Joseph Meyers who I was supposed to get married to three years ago was back. Three years ago, I was supposed to marry her and use the opportunity to take the lead in my father's pack, but she abandoned me in the end and married my cowardly cousin, Henry, who later took over as the Alpha of Blood-Eyed pack. My father's legacy.

I was left to manage a pack I built on my own, but it was still not a match for my father's pack that was coerced by Henry and his Ruthless father.

I clenched my fist tightly in rage as I turned to Conrad who'd just passed me this information. “Who gave you such news? How did you find out, Rad?” I asked.

“It's all over the news, Luna and your cousin are divorced. So, I decided to investigate her whereabouts and it turns out that she's in the city. Alpha, this is our chance to get back your fathers pack” Conrad declared, and obviously, I Wasn't the only one hoping to get back the Blood-Eyed pack.

Ten years ago, my father fought in wars, my mother was assassinated and our pack was annihilated. My father managed to build the pack two years later with so much hard work. I couldn't stand watching another person take over as alpha after his death. I am going to take it back from Henry.

“Cancel all the business meetings we have against tomorrow, Rad. And book me an appointment with Luna Elena” I ordered him. We were here for a business trip, an entanglement with Luna Elena was not far from business as she's the key to getting what I've always wanted.

After Conrad left, I got up, headed towards the counter and grabbed myself a bottle of whiskey to drink. I had to convince her to get married to me at all cost, else, I will lose this opportunity. I do not care if she's been with Henry once, Elena is nothing but a tool for me.

It's been five years and now, I can finally get what rightfully belongs to me. I took out my mobile phone and after a few swipes, I logged into the Internet to confirm the news concerning their divorce. It was fucking true.

Elena, the beautiful ex-wife of my cousin, looked extremely beautiful in that white dress. I zoomed in the image, and I couldn't help myself from admiring her. “oh, this will be so good for me. I can also use her to get revenge on Henry” I grinned. I couldn't wait for morning to come so I could get this over with.

*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*

THE NEXT morning,

ELENA

I was up as early as 5 a.m, rolling uncomfortably in bed as the sound of my mobile phone notifications continued. I stretched out for it, reading the text messages that'd come from Henry and another from his lawyer.

The completely signed divorce papers had been sent to my mail. Previously, my heart would skip a beat in fear but this time, I felt nothing at all. Matter of fact, I wished I'd divorced him earlier.

The news of our divorce had been published by media teams paid by him. I also decided to pay him back, I had Dave pay the media to also announce my remarriage to an estranged Alpha and my return as Luna to my pack.

‘pick my calls, Elena.’

‘How dare you lie to me about your identity?’

‘You owned your own pack and you kept it hidden from me. I should probably sue you.’

‘You’re such a slut. And a liar’

I read Alpha Henry's text messages with a smile of satisfaction on my lips. He must've been so shocked by my comeback.

I left bed, washed up and headed to my father's study room trying to study the files my father had left behind. I knew it'd take months for me to catch up, but I needed to start from somewhere. Dave informed me earlier that Alpha Sebastian was coming to visit me. Just before we could send out the invitation to him.

Isn't the goddess on my side? I asked myself as I dive deeper into the documents tightly gripped in my fingers.

A knock resounded on my door as I didn't respond to the first one. “Come in” I yelled out and in no time, Dave entered looking attentive and ready to work as always.

I must commend him for the good job he's done these past years. Dave was my father's most trusted bodyguard, even though he was younger. He carried out all of the tasks properly and never berated me.

“Luna Elena, you sent it to me,” he said calmly and politely.

“Yes, I did. I wanted you to look at something for me.” I said to him, handing him the documents in my hands.

He looked confused at first but I quickly explained.

“They're related to some of my father's dead businesses. Dave, do you think that we can get them working again? I'm ready to invest in them, "I asked.

Previously, my father owned one of the largest weaponry in all of the werewolf communities. He even supplied munitions for wars. When I was sixteen, he went bankrupt and quitted the business. He was also weighed down by my mother's death. My father loved her so much, I also do. I missed her too.

I noticed myself clenching tightly to the mahogany before I quickly let go.

Dave finished scrutinizing the documents and then he said to me. “I heard Alpha Sebastian is good with this business. He used to be one of your father's partners before the bankruptcy” Dave explained.

My eyes widened in shock. I never expected the bastard son of Alpha Khaos to be so talented. “Then we'll have to focus on getting him to join us in business.” I said.

Dave looked at me with a frown and I inquired why. “Luna, it isn't as easy as you think. Alpha Sebastian is not an easy nut to crack” he explained.

I leaned forward, showing interest in this strange man. I have never seen or met him in person, I'd only heard great things about him. “I guess that this will be a good opportunity for me then” I said, unfazed. I trust myself to the job, he definitely would fall for my charms.
