The woman’s words began sounding like mumbles as prince Alexander was losing his patience and interest in the conversation at hand.
He’d been remaining silent for quite some time, just tapping his fingers on the armrest of his chair while listening to the talk non-stop. His attention had wandered off the moment he heard the words ‘ask’ and ‘need’, things that he’d heard over and over again from the empire's ministers.
The food he had prepared had gone cold and his appetite had also waned, fully understanding that the woman was not there to discuss his terms of the bargain.
“My lady, you are not very familiar with how things are done within the empire, are you?” He finally speaks after the woman had ended her speech.
