Prologue

Its been a hundred years since the kingdom of Aselaysia managed to finally gain peace, after winning the last great war. The Aselaysian’s have become the vanguards of the eastern continent, becoming the sole defender that protected the land from the enemies that came from the western lands as their capital Lusha was situated on a canyon that had an interconnecting natural bridge to the eastern land. And now that the empire was approaching it was up to the present king to make sure that the enemies do not cross that pass. King Ramada let out a deep breath, clenching his fist on the hilt of his sword as dread began taking over him just by looking at the enemies ahead. A vast number of black-armored soldiers were marching on the plains below, almost covering the land with their sheer number, it was like a huge shadow was looming over the place as the green fields could no longer be seen. They carried a vertical red

Chapter I

Being situated near the cliff, Lusha castle was the fastest route to the eastern kingdom and the only passage within that land that was safe enough for an army to pass. That was why it was no surprise that the Black Army was already attacking the whole place.   Karilaya watched the flashes of lights from the highest tower in the castle, it kept appearing from the far side of the walls, causing the sky to flicker every once in a while. A good sign that meant the magic surrounding the whole area was still in place.   “Princess, you have to leave right now, the enemy has managed to break the first seal surrounding the castle, it won’t be long before they can break the second one.” Soraya, one of the princess’s royal guards states.   Karilaya hugged herself, shaking when she felt the coldness of fear crawl inside her body. Just hearing those words was enough to make her tremble, knowing that their kingdom’s doom was near.

Chapter II

The princess was already giving out carriages and other possible mode of transport to some people when a man wearing a white armor, adorned with a lion head on both shoulders, a helmet that had feathers on it, without its mouth piece which allowed them to see his face along with carrying twin sabers on each side of his hips, a weapon only a true master within their kingdom would be able to wield.   He bows down to show respect putting his fist on his heart in greeting. “Princess,” he states before straightening in attention in front of her.   Seeing commander Hendall manage to put Karilaya at ease as she was now starting to worry why the man was taking so long after her summons.   “Do we have any more soldiers to spare?” she quickly asks, knowing that they would need the man power in order to properly inform the townspeople of her creed.   Commander Hendall let out a heavy sigh. “I’m afraid we don’t

Chapter III

A woman ran screaming and crying, clothes half thorn off while being chased by several cackling soldiers clad in black armor. A man was being beaten half to death as he tried to keep hold of his belongings that were in a knapsack. Bodies piled up on the streets, some half-alive while others already thorn to bits. Several houses were already on fire, some have huge holes and falling debris from an attack, while others were completely turned into rubble. The town had fallen and was no in a state of panic, chaos, and destruction. Cries of agony, terror, and demise mix with the laughs of lust, craze, and sheer rage mixed together through the air; the battle for the place raged on as some of the remaining soldiers still fought. Three fully armored horsemen move along the broken-down street, a few foot soldiers tagging along behind. Their horses marched through the carnage, unmindful of the horrors that were happening around them.

Chapter IV

“Where are we going?” Karilaya kept looking behind her as the priestess and commander were now pushing her to move faster. They had pulled her into one of the secret passages within the castle walls, going down a spiral staircase. She was unable to do much as the darkness did not allow her to move on the very narrow pathway. With only a torch for a light, they were barely able to see anything in front of them. “No time to explain princess,” commander Hendall says when they reached a crossroad. He looked and checked the signs on the walls before proceeding to the left entrance. “I should be in the throne room,” Karilaya says in protest after they had finally stopped, knowing the possibility that her people were in panic without a leader on the throne. Giving her a soft pat on the back priestess Unei gave her a gourd. “Here princess, drink this, it will calm yo

Chapter V

“Where am I?” was all Karilaya could say the moment her consciousness returned. It was only when she felt so light and cold that she realize that something was not right, besides the fact that she could not feel the ground beneath her. Hearing the screams from above Karilaya then realized where she was, partly remembering what had occurred a while ago. Quickly setting her current condition aside, she was now worried as to what was happening. Moving with haste she proceeds towards the staircase not caring for the danger up ahead. The princess stops upon hearing noises of battle just up ahead, she chases the said sounds ending up behind the castle near the divine bridge. Her eyes grew wide upon seeing a Black Knight releasing onslaughts of attacks on commander Hendall who was trying to protect priestess Unei. She was about to move towards them when a huge light engulfed the group making her understand what the

Chapter VI

“Apologies my prince, we’re already punishing the culprits as we speak sire,” commander Tycus was sweating like a pig as he bent down both hands on the floor. Sitting in the throne room, the Black Knight did not even so much as look at him, a sign that he was still displeased. “Such uncouth and uncivilized acts should truly be punished, If we were looking for such barbarism, maybe we would have just taken along Cracious’s army instead,” lord Aizenberg scoff, placing his hand on his face in disgust of what had occurred in the last battle at the keep. The two men were both in front of the Black Knight as they were giving out their reports for the day. Commander Tycus did not take that well, making him raise his head to face glare at the man. “What did you say!” he hissed, gritting his teeth as he took hold of the hilt of his sword. &l

Karilaya leaned closer to the man's chest as they approached the gate to cover her face, she could not stop her heart from racing as she could feel the steady gazes of the soldiers that they passed by all directed at her. Yet it seemed that just by being in the said man’s arms was enough to allow her passage without even being asked for her papers. She was only able to breathe a sigh of relief when they had finally reached the inner part of the walls. The whole place may have been messed up but it was still recognizable, even though it now pretty much looked like a ghost town, having so very few people there now. “I think I’ll be good there,” she finally says pointing to the fountain area in the middle of the town’s plaza. The man quickly guides the stead towards the said place without question, getting off the horse once they reached the fountain. He made a quick survey of the place, seeing

Chapter VIII

“My lord, I can assure you, there is nothing wrong with your smile, those women are just too uncivilized to understand the magnificence and beauty of your form,” lord Aizenberg stated with a pure smile and admiration for his master.   Yet Alexander continued baring his teeth in front of the mirror, twisting and frowning as he tried to fix the look of his mouth when he’d do his facial expressions.   “Words so true,” commander Tycus nodded in agreement.   The two were together in his room, making sure that all the preparations were done properly and accordingly to their taste.   The prince just ignored the two and continued to practice not showing too much of his teeth. He knew that if he was going to make this work, he needed to make sure that he’d get as many women to agree to be his concubine.   Pressing his cheeks together, managed to show that look that he wanted, he did a few

Chapter IX

“My lady, I thought we were going to the underground chambers?” Nana was still shaking as they were roving the halls within a part close to the main castle where the chambers were found. “Yes, but I cannot have you getting in danger, that’s why I will be taking a different way,” Karilaya says, remembering the numerous guards that were surrounding the hall where the underground chamber was found. Being that late and seeing as there have been tons of guards roaming around the place who already knew some of the maidservants. She was sure that it would not end well for them in case she made a mistake. “My lady, this is near the inner castle, what if you get caught?” one of her maids states seeing some soldiers pass by. “I’ll be all right, they won’t suspect a maid now would they,” she says with sheer confidence when they finally reach the
