Its been a hundred years since the kingdom of Aselaysia managed to finally gain peace, after winning the last great war. The Aselaysian’s have become the vanguards of the eastern continent, becoming the sole defender that protected the land from the enemies that came from the western lands as their capital Lusha was situated on a canyon that had an interconnecting natural bridge to the eastern land. And now that the empire was approaching it was up to the present king to make sure that the enemies do not cross that pass. King Ramada let out a deep breath, clenching his fist on the hilt of his sword as dread began taking over him just by looking at the enemies ahead. A vast number of black-armored soldiers were marching on the plains below, almost covering the land with their sheer number, it was like a huge shadow was looming over the place as the green fields could no longer be seen. They carried a vertical red

Being situated near the cliff, Lusha castle was the fastest route to the eastern kingdom and the only passage within that land that was safe enough for an army to pass. That was why it was no surprise that the Black Army was already attacking the whole place. Karilaya watched the flashes of lights from the highest tower in the castle, it kept appearing from the far side of the walls, causing the sky to flicker every once in a while. A good sign that meant the magic surrounding the whole area was still in place. “Princess, you have to leave right now, the enemy has managed to break the first seal surrounding the castle, it won’t be long before they can break the second one.” Soraya, one of the princess’s royal guards states. Karilaya hugged herself, shaking when she felt the coldness of fear crawl inside her body. Just hearing those words was enough to make her tremble, knowing that their kingdom’s doom was near.

The princess was already giving out carriages and other possible mode of transport to some people when a man wearing a white armor, adorned with a lion head on both shoulders, a helmet that had feathers on it, without its mouth piece which allowed them to see his face along with carrying twin sabers on each side of his hips, a weapon only a true master within their kingdom would be able to wield. He bows down to show respect putting his fist on his heart in greeting. “Princess,” he states before straightening in attention in front of her. Seeing commander Hendall manage to put Karilaya at ease as she was now starting to worry why the man was taking so long after her summons. “Do we have any more soldiers to spare?” she quickly asks, knowing that they would need the man power in order to properly inform the townspeople of her creed. Commander Hendall let out a heavy sigh. “I’m afraid we don’t

A woman ran screaming and crying, clothes half thorn off while being chased by several cackling soldiers clad in black armor. A man was being beaten half to death as he tried to keep hold of his belongings that were in a knapsack. Bodies piled up on the streets, some half-alive while others already thorn to bits. Several houses were already on fire, some have huge holes and falling debris from an attack, while others were completely turned into rubble. The town had fallen and was no in a state of panic, chaos, and destruction. Cries of agony, terror, and demise mix with the laughs of lust, craze, and sheer rage mixed together through the air; the battle for the place raged on as some of the remaining soldiers still fought.Three fully armored horsemen move along the broken-down street, a few foot soldiers tagging along behind. Their horses marched through the carnage, unmindful of the horrors that were happening around them.

“Where are we going?” Karilaya kept looking behind her as the priestess and commander were now pushing her to move faster. They had pulled her into one of the secret passages within the castle walls, going down a spiral staircase. She was unable to do much as the darkness did not allow her to move on the very narrow pathway. With only a torch for a light, they were barely able to see anything in front of them.“No time to explain princess,” commander Hendall says when they reached a crossroad. He looked and checked the signs on the walls before proceeding to the left entrance.“I should be in the throne room,” Karilaya says in protest after they had finally stopped, knowing the possibility that her people were in panic without a leader on the throne.Giving her a soft pat on the back priestess Unei gave her a gourd. “Here princess, drink this, it will calm yo

“Where am I?” was all Karilaya could say the moment her consciousness returned. It was only when she felt so light and cold that she realize that something was not right, besides the fact that she could not feel the ground beneath her.Hearing the screams from above Karilaya then realized where she was, partly remembering what had occurred a while ago. Quickly setting her current condition aside, she was now worried as to what was happening. “Apologies my prince, we’re already punishing the culprits as we speak sire,” commander Tycus was sweating like a pig as he bent down both hands on the floor.Sitting in the throne room, the Black Knight did not even so much as look at him, a sign that he was still displeased.“Such uncouth and uncivilized acts should truly be punished, If we were looking for such barbarism, maybe we would have just taken along Cracious’s army instead,” lord Aizenberg scoff, placing his hand on his face in disgust of what had occurred in the last battle at the keep. The two men were both in front of the Black Knight as they were giving out their reports for the day.Commander Tycus did not take that well, making him raise his head to face glare at the man. “What did you say!” he hissed, gritting his teeth as he took hold of the hilt of his sword.&l

Karilaya leaned closer to the man's chest as they approached the gate to cover her face, she could not stop her heart from racing as she could feel the steady gazes of the soldiers that they passed by all directed at her. Yet it seemed that just by being in the said man’s arms was enough to allow her passage without even being asked for her papers. She was only able to breathe a sigh of relief when they had finally reached the inner part of the walls. The whole place may have been messed up but it was still recognizable, even though it now pretty much looked like a ghost town, having so very few people there now.“I think I’ll be good there,” she finally says pointing to the fountain area in the middle of the town’s plaza. The man quickly guides the stead towards the said place without question, getting off the horse once they reached the fountain. The people felt a bit more at ease with the empire; they no longer had any qualms, especially after everybody found out that their princess was now the empress and would still be the one to rule them. She lowered the taxes enough for all of them to get by, not just for their area but also for the entire western continent that was under them, so that it wouldn’t cause too much strain on everyone.Trading between the west and their lands went on smoothly, allowing more products to come back and forth.“Good morning your majesty!”People greeted as they walk pass by them. Karilaya waved at them in reply. She and the others were currently viewing the restoration of the old kingdoms’ fields. After they had cleared the trees, the earth was now being plowed to prepare it for farming. Having control over all the things in the kingdom, it didn’t take long before Karilaya had finally turned matters around.Repairs on the capital were going smoothly. All the previous actions she wanted to be done, like the re-aligning of the seals within the entire city, were no longer an issue, since fear of using her magic did not restrain her.It was the reason she now felt it was the right time to proceed with restoring their lands to how it was.“Your majesty, are you sure it will be safe to remove the coven from their bonds this instant?” the old adviser asks. The man was with her, together with her own guards, since she sent the others to handle things around the kingdom for this momentous day.“Yes, mistress Moryana and the headmaster are already in place. In just two days, that was all it took for the combined might of the imperial army and Aselaysian soldiers to rally up every single person who Soraya has pointed out to be instigating a rebellion into their hands.Facing them now was lord Sander Lee. Face broken, bloody, and full of tears. The man was groveling in front of Karilaya, who was on the throne beside the Draconian emperor. She moves to her side in order to get closer to the Alexander. “Did you beat them to death?” she whispers to him.Seeing how beaten and wounded the old lords were, she could not help but feel a bit of remorse for letting the man handle things.“No,” he shrugs.“Then why do they look like that?” she points out.Lord Sander Lee’s face was so inflated that he was unrecognizable, while some could no longer keep themselv

She wanted to get at least an insight from her guardian spirits about what to do, knowing that somehow they may clear her thoughts.“Because he has lied to me before. And I am afraid that all of this is but another farce,” she says.Feeling that ache inside her chest, still fearing that the man might betray her again.“Did you also not deceive him?” the sweet female voice whispered.Karilaya could not help but grumble. “I did that to protect myself.”“What makes your mistake more forgivable than his? A lie is a lie no matter how you make it,” the annoying spirit mocked, letting out a laugh after.

After finally having time for themselves, all Alexander would do was to cuddle and hug her. The man clung to her the moment they got returned to their room. Cooing and giving her kisses on the neck.“Your Majesty, you need to rest,” she scolds. Feeling his hands wandering all over her body. They were already in bed, getting ready to sleep after tucking the boys into their rooms. Her back was facing him, so he was spooning her while they laid on there.“I have plenty of strength reserved just for you,” Alexander cooed in her ears. She felt herself shiver, sensing that ticklish jolt inside of her. His hands were already touching those sensual areas of her. Playfully rubbing his fingers on her skin.“Alex!” she hissed, slapping off his hand, feeling him pinching some of her sensitive parts.“Come on, Kaya. I promise I wo

Or have you forgotten the mother of my children?” He smirks at the man, trying to give him the idea of who he was with. But before lord Drake could even recognize his lady, Kaya had already done a curtsy in front of him.“It’s a pleasure to meet you, lord Galford Drake. After he had broken free a while ago. It’s the second time within the day which was making him frustrated. He never thought it would be that hard to keep the boys in check with his power, but seeing as he couldn’t go all out on his children for fear of harming them just made it more difficult.“I’m good, uncle.”He took that time to take a rest, sitting on the floor in front of the boy’s cell. Soraya kept her senses sharp. Looking around, all the while keeping her gaze on the knights who stood guarding them. She could not understand why they were suddenly being taken care of like that. They healed their wounds, gave back their weapons and armor. They even fed them to where they were all satisfied. They also mixed the captive villagers with their soldiers, making them look like a bunch of cattle being herded inside the outer castle. She knew that all of it had to have a reason and it was not just for show nor for their so-called friendly gesture. She’d hardly consider them having any, experiencing how cruel and barbaric they were. There was something behind of it all which she could not put her foot on it.It alerted Soraya seeing the soldiers move in a straight line, posing at the ready when they saw a line of well-dressed people coming their way.
