Loud and earth-shaking thunder returned Karilaya to her senses, she could feel a bit of the pinching coldness on her skin but there was still part of her that seemed to be in a tender, warm and soft touch.

Though her vision was blurry upon opening her eyes, it did not escape her that there were very large and strong arms wrapped around her at that moment, keeping her warm, protecting her, and also making sure that she stayed in place as she wasn’t able to move much when she tried.

“You seem to be awake, my lady,” The captain had this mischievous wide grin on his face feeling the sudden movement of the woman in his arms.

There was a slight shiver from Karilaya as she wasn’t expecting to be noticed like that. Blood quickly rushed through her face as she could feel his hot, warm breath rubbing on her ears. Instantly she was aware of how the man was carrying her right now.

Karilaya still could not look at the captain who was walking beside her. She made sure to keep her eyes looking straight in front as she was still having glimpses of thoughts about what had happened between them inside the cave.Somehow the sun was shining so they were able to venture out into the forest in search of food besides trying to find out where they were.“I am quite surprised you are able to walk with this dense level of magic, my lady,” the captain finally broke the silence, giving out a playful chuckle.“I am of Aselaysian descent and also a magic user, captain. Though the weather here changes every few hours, I can say this kind of environment is the same test that we have to undergo to become magical advisers,” she says with a soft but clear tone, wanting to show her proper composure even though she was trembling inside. She didn’t want to stay within the cave nor did she

The wind was rampaging outside, it gave a foreboding whistle to whoever would dare to go outside like death, taunting them. There was not an inch of water but the gale outside was able to make hollowed tree trunks flew by like they weighed nothing. Tornadoes could be seen reaching the skies, connecting the earth to it.Karilaya swallowed hard as she watched from inside the cave, the inner earth was deep enough to protect them and the hill that they were in had huge stone formations that seem to keep everything in place, making it seem like a fortress from the wildness of the outside. She looked at the flames that were starting to die out, eating away at the last piece of wood that she salvaged a while ago as it managed to get thrown inside the cave.Clasping onto the captains' cape she could not help but keep his eyes on the entrance of the cave, biting her lips when every now and then the biting coldness would sweep inside the place, causing her whole

There was this amazing mouth-watering waft that cause Maxwell's senses, his eyes immediately opened catching the scent of a very meaty yet earthy taste within the air. His eyes quickly looked around seeing the sudden brightness within the whole place, making him jolt up. Without so much as flinching his hands were already grabbing hold of his sword as he stood up, grabbing on the hilt of it he was ready to unsheathe it when he stood up, yet immediately stopped when he noticed that he was still in the cave. His forehead wrinkled when he finally saw the sudden changes within the place, he was now thinking if he had been sent to another place or was it some kind of illusion to make the place look good. The cave didn’t look like a cave anymore, it resembled more an area within a commoner’s home. There were furnishing within the wall and in the middle of the place, such as tables and counters, the floor was no longer earthy and swerving.

The whirlwinds that were devastating the land were now replaced by what seemed like a depiction of the underworld, having a red ashen mist surrounding the whole place, nothing could be seen as it covered everything.Karilaya had created a barrier that blocked the whole thing from entering the cave. Though there was nothing that could be seen outside, she still remained in the opening of the den looking afar as she didn’t really feel like staying beside the captain. There was this pang inside her chest that kept nagging at her for not telling the man the reason for it all at the same time there was also a part of her that kept scolding her for the mistake and telling her that the man was only looking out for her.Though she had managed to smile a while ago she could still feel something wrong within the man, having remained quiet for the duration of their whole dinner.“My lady?” The captain’s

‘We will find out in time’ those words kept repeating inside Karilaya’s mind and though the captain did not answer, she knew the man didn’t agree with her. Though the captain did not say it out loud, she could feel it as the subject was never brought up, even within the days that came. She knew she had made a mistake bringing up the thought of staying there. As the moment the captain saw the clear skies he suggested they move forward and continue to proceed of finding a way out to escape that place. That was why she remained silent as they began traversing the land, they moved through the thick and lush forest in haste. They took the chance to move as the weird weather had suddenly subsided, having a normal sunny that covered almost the entire land. They’ve been walking for quite some time now yet there hasn’t been a change in the skies which was quite odd for the storm lands.Karilaya staye

A towering purple mist was already surrounding him, making it hard to see what was in front or behind him and it also felt like his eyes were burning from it. It was also getting harder to breathe as he could feel the smoke stinging every part of his chest. If he was not draconian, he was sure he’d be dead by now from all the poison that was inside him.He gripped his sword firmly since it was already covered in a mix of red and green sludge making it harder for him to cut. He never thought that scouting within these grounds would bring him pleasure, making his blood rush since almost all of the monsters were quite formidable, even the small, innocent-looking ones. A blessing that seems to have come at the right time.As of now the nest that he was in was the last dangerous place within that area, if it gets cleared out they would be able to sleep well tonight, needing only to worry about the changing weather.A lo

“Max! No, stay with me.” Karilaya tried shaking the man to wake him up but ended up falling on the water with him when his body finally gave in. The man was already in a deep state of sleep, his body began to turn cold, and his color started turning pale as the purplish venom could be seen continuing to crawl inside his veins. Not giving a second thought Karilaya quickly pulled the man out of the river, not having enough energy to use her magic after throwing several spells against the giant serpent, she was barely able to use her magic to move the man who weighed almost thrice her own. At that same moment, she felt a surge of magic within the air, forcing her to drag him to a nearby cave that she saw hidden near the waterfalls. She was forced to move faster along with also gathering their stuff with her magic all at once. After setting up her barrier and securing everything inside the cave, she was finally able to properly take a good look at the

Karilaya’s consciousness was woken up by the extreme heat and tension that her body was feeling, it felt like she was burning up from inside, her muscles tightening as she felt waves of pressure bombarded every part of her body. Her chest was rising up and down really fast as she felt herself gasping for air. It didn’t take long until all of her senses were fully awake, forcing her to finally open her eyes from her deep slumber. It was then and there that she finally understood where the feverish feeling was coming from. She could not help but let out a high-pitched whimper when she felt a sudden rush of bliss pierce straight into the inner core of her body.“Max!” She called him, her voice trembling and weak as she tried covering her chest when he saw his gaze at her.The man’s face was between her legs, his eyes were now glowing red as it had taken its dragon form. The man was groveling in front of Karilaya, who was on the throne beside the Draconian emperor. She moves to her side in order to get closer to the Alexander. “Did you beat them to death?” she whispers to him.Seeing how beaten and wounded the old lords were, she could not help but feel a bit of remorse for letting the man handle things.“No,” he shrugs.“Then why do they look like that?” she points out.Lord Sander Lee’s face was so inflated that he was unrecognizable, while some could no longer keep themselv

She wanted to get at least an insight from her guardian spirits about what to do, knowing that somehow they may clear her thoughts.“Because he has lied to me before. And I am afraid that all of this is but another farce,” she says.Feeling that ache inside her chest, still fearing that the man might betray her again.“Did you also not deceive him?” the sweet female voice whispered.Karilaya could not help but grumble. “I did that to protect myself.”“What makes your mistake more forgivable than his? Or have you forgotten the mother of my children?” He smirks at the man, trying to give him the idea of who he was with. But before lord Drake could even recognize his lady, Kaya had already done a curtsy in front of him.“It’s a pleasure to meet you, lord Galford Drake. After he had broken free a while ago. It’s the second time within the day which was making him frustrated. Soraya kept her senses sharp. Looking around, all the while keeping her gaze on the knights who stood guarding them. She could not understand why they were suddenly being taken care of like that. They healed their wounds, gave back their weapons and armor. They even fed them to where they were all satisfied. They also mixed the captive villagers with their soldiers, making them look like a bunch of cattle being herded inside the outer castle. She knew that all of it had to have a reason and it was not just for show nor for their so-called friendly gesture. She’d hardly consider them having any, experiencing how cruel and barbaric they were. There was something behind of it all which she could not put her foot on it.It alerted Soraya seeing the soldiers move in a straight line, posing at the ready when they saw a line of well-dressed people coming their way.
