"What did you get on Monday's test?" While I am entering my password into my laptop, I inquire about Ethan.

"B minus," he adds as he pulls out his own laptop and inserts some headphones into his ears.

"You?" he asks, casting a glance in my direction.

As I continue to be somewhat taken aback by my own rating, I declare, "A perfect B."

In spite of the fact that it was not an A, I had ceased fantasizing about and yearning for those grades quite some time ago; hence, I am not upset about it.

"Oh my goodness, that is outstanding. If such is the case, what grade do you have in his class? I go to our student portal and log in when it is open.

"B minus - really close to a C, I think," I say as I go to open my English class profile in order to hand in an assignment. "You?" When I begin to load the file, I ask him the question.

Although he does not look at me, he says, "An A," and I let out a sigh.
