Chapter 54

Upon seeing him, Kenny immediately rushed towards him wanting to be carried while crying. Keith felt his heart constricting at the sight of his daughter crying but he remained his composure. He picked up Kenny and carried her into his arms as he walked towards the bed. He sat on the edge and made his daughter sit on his lap.

“What’s wrong, baby?” He wiped off those stubborn cheeks that tainted her cheeks then kissed the side of her temple. “Why are you even crying in the middle of the night?”

“Does something happen?”

“Daddy…” Kenny sniffed as she continued to cry. Her small nose was now red, her eyes were then still filled with tears. “Dad!” And she began crying again. What a crybaby.

“Shhh… hush now. Tell daddy what’s wrong…” he tried to console the child.

Kenny’s blue eyes were staring right back at her filled with fear. “I have a bad dream, Dad…”

“I saw this man trying to harm you and Auntie Amanda,” and her eyes started to water again. “What does that mean, Dad?”
