Chapter 39

It was any other ordinary day for Keith. He went to work earlier that morning to attend the monthly meeting with his executives. They are in the middle of a debate when Alan opens the door and interrupts everything.

“Sir, this is something important,” Alan said, he seemed shaken.

His forehead creased. “How important is it that you need to interrupt this meeting?”

“Can’t that wait later?”

“I beg your pardon, Sir, please…” Alan said. Keith sighed and ordered the meeting to be postponed until a much later date.

Now that only the two of them were inside the conference room, Keith asked his assistant once again. “I don’t have all the time in the world, Alan—”

“Don Kennedy encountered an accident,” his secretary dropped the bomb in front of his face. The gravity of the news had put him into a shock, wasn’t able to move even a bit. Alan must’ve mistook it for him to continue. “He’s been sent to the hospital but the doctors declared him dead upon arrival—”
