Richard felt refreshed after taking a shower that morning. He’s half naked when he got out of the shower, only a towel covering his lower part. He was expecting to see Amanda still lying on the bed, sleeping. But maybe it was too much to ask. She’s nowhere to be found and the bed was already tidied. He sighed and thought that she must’ve gone down to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

It’s been awhile since he got back from a week long out of town conference. He missed the place, most specially the bed where he and Amanda shared every night. If only he could break down that barrier and just let him be the man that she wanted, he could’ve had her since the beginning. But her resolve was too hard to penetrate and getting some sort of intimacy ended up in endless arguing.
